LOL
Thank goodness we are all different.
DR Brian can cope with Petula Clark. I like her but only about three songs  in a row.  I prefer her output BEFORE Downtown.- Romeo, My Friend the Sea, The Road etc.

DR td will probably take along his 9 versions of Blood Brothers plus the Woman in White.

Did brand-spanking new DR Lola ever post last night?

I can't wait till DR Sandra asks her about her drinking habits.

"The Unexpected Frenzy"...

Wasn't that a poem by Emily Dickenson?

Did you know that almost every Emily Dickenson poem can be sung to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas"?

OK, TOD.  Mind you, this is subject to arbitrary, capricious, and frequent CHANGE:

In no particular order:

* Follies - the original cast, but NOT the OBC: the complete show, from the soundboard.
* King's College Choir, Cambridge: The choral music of Herbert Howells
* Britten: War Requiem [Britten conducting]
* Britten: Peter Grimes [again, composer's original recording]
* some Carpenters compilation
* some Copland compilation, including Appalachian Spring
* some Bernstein compilation including the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, or perhaps Bernstein's Mass
* some Samuel Barber compilation - probably the Thomas Schippers
* Nancy LaMott: Just In Time for Christmas
* Ella Fitzgerald: The Complete Songbooks boxed set [cheating, I know!]

Thursday morning greetings!  We had a doozy of a thunderstorm overnight - our power was out for about 3 hours.

Today, I'm only working until 1pm, then taking the afternoon off to get ready for my book group's potluck dinner at our house.  This month and next, we're reading Alison Weir's The Life of Elizabeth I.  Tonight, after our dinner we'll watch part 1 of HBO's Elizabeth I and next month, at someone else's house, we'll have another potluck and watch part 2.

I did not know that!

Is this DR Miss Karen's tune that goes clap, clap, clap, clap, or is that another ditty?

That's "Deep In The Heart Of Texas".  I don't know whose poetry could be sung to that tune.

Speaking of Potter, The New York Times somehow obtained an advance copy and apparently printed a SPOILER-HEAVY book review in today's edition.  BEWARE!

Cripes!  I'm afraid to look just about anywhere for fear of any HP spoilers.  I've already accidently happened upon seeing the full wrap-around cover art (not that I gleamed anything from it.)

I bet that this will be the fastest-read book in human history.
