DR François, WELCOME BACK!!!!!   :D :D :D

Hope you enjoyed your vacation.  We have missed you terribly!

Thanks for the cheers, and to DR Laura too! The break was quite nice: I don't like routine. Back to the city routine but August is always "slow" with most people away from Paris.

I hope you'll get a funny little movie (They say it opens in NYC next month!) I saw yesterday: 2 DAYS IN PARIS,
written, directed and acted by Julie Delpy... who also wrote songs she sings over the end credits!

RE: last night's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

I'm curious who people want to go. And who people think should go.

I think kameron and sara should go. I also would not care if lauren went (although she did well last night).

I like jaimie. I like sabra. I'm not crazy about lacey. But she is very popular.

I like danny. I like dominic alright (but he did not do well last night). I'm not crazy about pasha. I don't really care if neil stays or goes.

I like the idea of having solos choreographed for them. but i wasn't crazy about the routine they had them do.

This weekend the Orpheum summer movie series is showing Away From Her in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association.  Has anyone seen it?

When I left my house to come back to work there was a police officer sitting outside my house. I walked over to see what's up and he said he was just using my shade to write a report about a junky car he had to leave a ticket on. I said 'Oh, you mean the one that's always at the end of the block?'   he said he didn't know that this was a regular thing and he'd keep an eye on it.

I told him I was a bit relieved because there was a flash of a bright light in my window in the middle of the night that I thought was probably the newspaper guy looking for the house number, but when I saw him I thought maybe something really happened.   He probably thinks I'm looney

Yes, I have. It's quite touching (Julie Christie plays... Julie Christie ;)) but some narrative manierisms irritated me. AND why does it always concern wealthy people and never ordinary gents like you and I?

Rotting chicken bits are the worst!

Worse than rotting fish?

I'm only asking for "educational" purposes...

I am kind of afraid to see AWAY FROM HER...I'm afraid it will be too sad. (I've had several family members who suffered from it.)

Speaking of shrimp, I have just returned from lunch during which I had a bowl of shrimp bisque and two shrimp kebabs over rice.

Good afternoon dear Esteemed and enchanted BK -

And a lovely good afternoon to the assorted studlies and lovelies!

I'm just on a very brief stop back by the house, in between "moving errands" and chores.  I will be very very glad when all of the basic parts of the move are over with.
