Hello HHW!

Sorry to have been so quiet the past couple days.   I've been very busy between working on last night's All Singin' All Dancin' show, and meeting some NYMF deadlines.  But I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone, and I promise I'll try to catch up tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day and I'll catch you all later!

Break time is over -- oh, congrats to Penny O and belated BD (Big Dog or Birthday .. or both) greetings to Sherlock of the Giant Paws (I want more photos of Goofus -- and all the other HHWer pets -- they always make me smile and go awwwwwwwww!).

...and across the board "may life go the way you want/need it to" vibes to everyone who needs vibes since I don't know if I'm ever gonna catch up with all the postings (what comes from being an EandT HHWer...) .., whew! that from someone who really talks too much...but I don't plan to do anything about it (Hee-hah!)

And today's late-lunch consisted of an egg-white omelet filled with bell peppers (green, red and yellow) and broccoli florets that had been sauteed in olive oil with a "generous" clove of garlic and a dash of red pepper flakes.  YUM!  And healthy!

And even though it's not Friday...  I've been listening to "re-imagination" by the jazz pianist, Eldar.  The kid has some chops!  And very fast ones too!  And he sort of is still a "kid", he's just 20 years old!

Yes, I saw that it was AVENUE Q's 4th birthday when I read Playbill-on-Line today. The show is SO deserving of all the success it's had. I really loved it.

Heading back down now to do some chores around the house (cleaning the living room this morning, but I have some other things to tend to outside), and then back to EIGHT SIMPLE RULES until DMAGES comes on at 10.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!  Just a quick stop here between my fabulous visit to Ten Chimneys and the Evening Prayer service in which DH Richard is a liturgist.  I'll be back later to tell y'all all about Ten Chimneys.

Fundraiser vibes to BK!

Moving day vibes to DR Elmore & Co.

As-needed vibes to anyone else!

Off to church - bye for now!

Jrand,  the only theatre I did this summer was in my capacity as a board member of Actors' Guild of Lexington.  We started a summer Shakespeare at Equus Run, a vineyard here in Central Kentucky, about 12 miles outside Lexington and near where I live.  Our inaugural production, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, exceeded our first year's expectations and goals and we'll be doing two shows next year.  I did not act in this production, only served as advisor and general cheerleader.

I'm currently beginning to gear up to play Claudius in a production of Hamlet at Actor's Guild in the fall.

I believe the question is: Do I want to know anything about this photo?  I mean, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", right?

Oh dear....that should have been TWO separate posts!!!!

Any resemblance between DR CILLA LIZ and the pants arguments was coincidental and not intended.  These pants were not meant to represent any HHW'er living or dead.

LOL,  A 46 in Women's clothing would be MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger than I am....I didn't take it that way at all.  I actually think they are giving bigger clothes smaller size numbers so that you feel good and buy them...cynic that I am

On the Broadway show front, Sam said Legally Blonde and Curtains look good but it's entirely up to me.  I am seriously considering ACL.

OK, gang...I could use some serious help here. ...Sam is 19 and this will be her very first Broadway show. She doesn't want to go to Wicked (Her words "No, I really don't care about Wicked") She loved the movie Rent and knows every word, so there is that, but I've seen Rent way too many times and would like to find a show she can watch and experience something new, not something she already knows. ....HELP!!!!!

My options at this point are
A Chorus Line - considering that she loved Rent, she may like something with a little substance to it
Legally Blonde - which could be fun
Curtains - she wouldn't mind seeing "Niles"

I'm cool with seeing any of them again. This would be a Saturday, probably a Saturday night after a day of sight seeing.

I had a goofy thing happen today.  I got a call from my "DEX" representative, she called on my cell phone and made what was really an initial contact.  I told her I had already met with my "DEX" representative and he was working on a lay-out for my yellow pages ad.  She didn't believe me, so I told her the name, number etc, and told her that I had made an initial contact back in May or June and when I received no response I called again. He responded and we met 3 weeks ago and did the whole lay out.

She was really snippy about it. Tonight the male rep called.  He asked me about it and I told him the same thing. I knew what happened when this whole thing started, but since the female didn't respond for - let's see 6 weeks or so after I called, I don't have any sympathy for her.  I waited about 3-4 weeks after leaving a message for her to contact him.  In my book, you snooze you lose.  He said they are sorting out who should have my account, I hope it's him.  He did his job, she didn't

I was messing with the computers at the office all day today. I added an external hard drive for a back up and I think I messed something up, anyway, I finally just left it running and left.  So I need to go back tonight and see if I can make things work.

I did figure out my new case management software today. Yeah

DR Cillaliz - There's no way you - or Sam - could squeeze in two shows while you're in town?  -Well, other than the NYMF ones.  ;)

ACL is in good shape, however, after a day of sight-seeing, sitting down for two hours and 10 minutes straight may not be the most comfortable thing in the world.  An intermission may be your friend, so to speak.

However, ACL is a "performer's show", so...  But LB is fun too.  As is Curtains.

-I'm not helping, am I?  ;)

*If it does helps, Legally Blonde and Ave Q have shows Sunday nights too - depending when you're leaving, or what other shows you have on your schedule already.  ACL and Curtains have single-show Sundays.

Well, I should get myself ready to head down to the Avenue Q Four-Year Anniversary Festivities.  I'll have my camera with me too, so, hopefully, I'll be able to take a couple of pics of whoever shows up.  ;)

But I think the only time Cilla can see BRAIN is on Sunday evening the 30th.  They might be cutting it close trying to see the Friday afternoon show.

Here's the thing, assuming all is on time, we will arrive at 1:30 pm Friday, make our way to the hotel and check in.  We will see Starfighter Friday Night.  Sam wants to sight see, so I thought I'd leave Saturday - day open for some of that - and some relaxing and then do a Broadway show Saturday Night.  Sunday day would be free for whatever and Sunday night is The Brain.   I really don't want to do two shows in a day. It's her first trip to New York and I know she wants to go sightseeing.

Matt H I thought your guess regarding Brenda was wrong because she had a fever.  Last night she told the doctor she is feeling feverish-BIG difference there.

Edi-I’m glad you hinted it is more than that since the doctor took a load of tests & needed to run more.

Anyway back to important things...I called Sam and after going back and forth she said her number 1 is Legally Blonde, in part because I haven't seen it, and if we want to on Sunday, number 2 is A Chorus Line.  So if we did that we'd do the Sun Mat of ACL  and then go to The Brain

Cilla I think you should tell DEX you want the guy to have your account.  As the customer you should be able to do that.
