Well actually that is true, on both counts!!

That will be $30.00 (I charge less than Jrand56).

I keep telling Lucy the kitten that she will not like kettle corn, but she doesn't believe me. Also, she'd like me to move aside so she can use the computer.

I just got back from Obama. Much more formal, much more security and many more brownies and cookies - but only about 35-40 people at the small get together. (I skipped the rally, too many people)  I like what he says too.  Oy! Glad I don't have to decide right now.

I hear ya Cilla. I think the months ahead will prove to be interestingly curious, yet infuriating.

I've tried Mucinex, not vicks vapor rub. Maybe I can get my roommate to pick me up some on her way home tonight. And if that doesn't work, I'll just go insane from sleep deprivation.

They have this new fangled steamer thingie now... but my Mom's method, which I still use is

1 put a tablespoon or so in the bottom of a heavy pot,

2 Pour some boiling water in and stir until it dissolves

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

3  Let the water cool a little so you don't scald youself

4 Put a towel over your head and the pot and breath in the steam

It ain't elegant... but then neither is a cold!!

The newfangled steam gadget can be purchased at CVS or Walgreens (I think it was about $20)

My favorite sidedish is cauliflower to my grandfathers', (and now my mom;s and now my recipe)

first you steam your cauliflower

when it is soft,  put in a bowl and cut it into small pieces and season with butter, salt and pepper...stir in 3/4 of a quart of sour cream

press into a oven proof glass pie plate spread the remainder of the  sour cream on top like frosting... sprinkle with seasoned breadcrumbs and Hungarian paprika (not too much )

bake in 375 degree oven 20 minutes or until golden brown on top

It is wonderful especially with Roast Beef and gravy

The auditions were very interesting.  As Jose said, there weren't any real clunkers, although, for me, two people came close.  We saw one terrific actor, which has now totally colored the way I've been thinking about going with the part (I'd basically offered it to a semi-name with whom I'd worked before years ago - I finally connected with that actor tonight and there are some issues and I'm thinking I wouldn't be sad if the issues made it impossible to work out - although I know he'd be terrific).  We saw quite a few candidates for the beatnik boyfriend role, but our casting director really didn't understand what I wanted, so he's bringing in more people on Wednesday.  Jason sang very well, and Jose did a great job - all the people our choreographer brought in were excellent, and, in fact, we cast two of them and will cast the rest on Wednesday.  We STILL have no news on the actress, which is really annoying and I'm basically tired of the game, from wherever it is emanating.  If we get a "go" tomorrow, that will be fine.  If we get a "pass" then I'll call her and just make sure she knows what's going on - and ask her if there's anything I can do to make the decision easier.

After the session, Adam, our choreographer, and I went and had a little meeting - he's got very good energy and we discussed all the numbers and I told him what I wanted to stay the way I'd staged it, and where he had leeway.  And I told him that I was completely open to any ideas he might have, but that I'm very specific about the look and tone of the show and they all have to fit within that framework.  I think we're both going to have fun.

Oh yes, the TOD. Some of my favorite side dishes are mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, risotto (although I often eat that as a main course), and onion rings. Of course all of those are on the list of bad foods that my doctor gave me. I have high cholesterol.

Wait a sec... you're reading HBP, not Deathly Hallows?  I thought you'd already done HBP.  Or was it just that you read Order of the Phoenix before seeing the movie?

I've been talking about this for over a week, but I know you've been busy and not here evry day. Yes, it's HALF BLOOD PRINCE I'm reading.

I read PHOENIX from Christmas-January in preparation for the upcoming film. I was going to wait to read PRINCE until next summer preparing for the next film in holiday season 2008, but I read one spoiler and figured it was going to be impossible to not read spoilers over the next three years for these last two books, so that's why I decided to just go ahead and read them one after the other.

Now I want blueberry pie.

DR TCB stop undercutting me!!!

DR VIXMOM the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you are anticipating a bad reaction from your neighbors to something that you plan or wish to carry out.  You also feel somewhat under pressure from them to make changes to something that you are completely happy with.

Oh my god! Jose, why did you post this? I'm supposed to be limiting my cheese intake!

I'm going to suggest to Rodzinski that we visit this restaurant tomorrow night when we hang out.

Well, actually, I prefer S'MAC.  DR Jason and I have dined there a few times.  :)

I took a 45 minute nap later this afternoon. I haven't been sleeping late in the mornings for some reason, and it's finally catching up to me. My eyes have been heavy for most of the night.
