OH!
And while waiting for the Gilfry's to arrive at the corner of 72nd and Amsterdam, we happened to run into an old friend of mine from college. We were in the same piano studio, he was a few years ahead of me. In any case, it turns out he's about to head back out on the road as the Associate Conductor for the new tour of
Whistle Down The Wind. Alas, since he was on his way to meet a friend, and since we were on our way to dinner, we didn't get to catch up that much, but the short time we spent on the corner was nice.
And it also turned out that he had attended this year's Helen Hayes Awards down in DC. And he told me tonight that he had heard my name announced/acknowledged during the acceptance speech by the winning Musical Director for
Cabaret. That was very nice to hear. And it was also nice to see Bryan again too. -And I think DR elmore liked seeing him too.
