I had my first day back in college today, my teachers all seem fine. My english teacher will get on my nerves because he speaks very slowly and wears what looks like wrinkled pajama's to class, but is a very smart man having us read wonderful material, so I guess I will be happy.

I thought Rodzinski had gone back to writing sports?  Did I misunderstand?  Damn you, Tom!

I suspect that since he's single now, he's off to fry other fish and pitch some woo.

Back from a very hard but good rehearsal.  As elmore intimated, our new rehearsal digs are very problematic, and I basically said to all concerned that it wasn't acceptable to me.  We moved back to Nola, and will be in the same small room tomorrow, but they realized they completely screwed up with us (the piano was totally broken when we arrived today), so even though we're in the small room tomorrow there will be a Marley floor for us (so we can tap dance), it will be clean, and there will be a working piano.  Then we move to a much larger space in the same complex (one they neglected to mention to us when we originally booked them) - we're getting credited for all of today, and for all of Saturday, when we'll be at Nola again.  Mostly we'll be in this bigger space from now on with one or two exceptions.

We have the happiest company but somehow the whole room vibe this morning just sucked the energy out of everyone, and as soon as I saw that, I threw my little hissy fit.

I hope elmore and the MD will be okay, because I love both dearly.  We all have our little things and we all have our needs and sometimes all of us, and that includes me, have to bend.

BK, thanks for the invite. Do you want to come up to the Upper West Side? I can't say I particularly want to schlep into midtown.

The conflict with the MD has to do with parameters on who's doing what beyond musical direction - I offer him no threat there - and I think he's a swell MD.

Mom loved WDW so much that we have chosen dates for another trip next October, 2008.  Right in the middle of EPCOT's Food and Wine Festival.  I can hardly wait!!!

And to prove it here I am!

Fondest Greetings, my very Dear Reader Friends!

It took longer then I thought to get everything done but I am happy to report the walls are painted; I have pulled up the linoleum and have finely assembled my new computer desk.  Whew!

My arthritis really making itself known but it was worth it.  I think I am getting used to my machine as I don’t feel so tired but now I just ache.

I  would not hire me as a painter.  I am not very good and get paint over everything.  And I mean EVERYTHING.  I think I had more on me then on the walls.   At least the room looks better then it did.

No more smoke damage!  It's amazing!

Oh, and I have to tell you that during the painting, I looked down and saw I no longer had Bear and Sheena.

I had two new dogs--Dalmatians in fact.  The first of their kind because instead of black spots, these had a kinda creamy beige hue to them.

I felt sorry for them so gave them a bath and Lo and Behold I had Bear and Shenna back!   ;D

Did I tell you I got paint over everything?

I LOVE my new computer set up.  I had to take parts of a desk I saw over at Office Depot and add parts to it but it is EXACTLY what I envisoned.  It is sooo comfortable.

It is great to be able to put my feet on the the foot rest I bought and the keyboard is at just the right height but I can ajust it anyway I want it to be.  The desk is on wheels so it's easy to move and the CPU is on it's own little holder with wheels so if I need to get behind it to plug/unplug something, it's easy to get to.

I don't know BK, it seems like the world conspires against me to keep my promise to you that I would come and see one if you brought it East.

Well, it's not actually time for me to leave work, but I'm going to.  So, have a good evening, all!

And that's great news about your desk set-up, Danise!  There's nothing worse than having to sit at a computer when nothing fits right.  I hate it when that happens.

Thanks, DR Danise and all the others who've offered them since I was here last.

Danise, I'm so glad your house is shaping up so well for you - you've certainly worked hard for it.
