Oh -- and I hope you feel better soon, too, Cillaliz.

bk - The Chinese restaurant in question was/is: Westside Cottage II.  -As for Westside Cottage (I), well, I never ate there, but it was on 46th Street, I think, and it's now called Shanghai Village.  I think.  ???

You are very funny ;D.  Is the therapy helping with your pain & shoulder movement?

Best of luck you get into see the new surgeon very quickly!

No, I don't think so.  Tonight I am experiencing some of the worst pain I have had with this shoulder.

First the Reservoir - now the cottages.
I don't think they're numbered in England.

As for today's adventures in Poppins-land, well... There are still a few things that I'm not comfortable with, but I'm making progress, and getting less nervous.  Of course, both(!) conductors happened to stop into rehearsal today, however, that was actually a great help.  Between numbers, we would chit-chat, and that helped me to feel more at ease in front of them.  -Now if we could just the whole dance break in "Jolly Holiday"... ;)

Well, that's a "nice" way to describe her.

Oh... And it turned out that the schedule that was posted downstairs by the conductor's room did not match the one that was posted on the callboard.  Consequently, I was a half hour early for today's rehearsal.  Which was OK - at least I wasn't a half hour late.

And since we actually ended up finishing up at Poppins a bit early today, I went ahead and headed over to The Brain rehearsal to say HI.  And then it was off to the general manager's office with bk, and then to dinner with Cason and BJ.

-Oh, and a stop at Amy's Bread after dinner.  :)  -No Monkey Cake tonight - I just wanted a cookie.  And I believe bk picked up something too.

DR Cillaliz - I can't recall if you've actually said this or not, but... Does Callie's physical deformity directly contribute to her impacted colon?  Or are they non-related conditions?  In any case...

DR Danise...my husband has an apnea machine - can't think of the correct specific name for them at the moment.  Anyway, he is also prone to migraines, but the machine has not affected his sinuses at all. Still, it's good that you're seeing the doctor soon and can ask about this.  It never hurts to ask.

Whew!  I'm really tired.

Good night to all DRs and special comfort vibes to those H/Ks with special needs at the moment.

-And since I'm playing some auditions for Mary Poppins in the morning - before my afternoon rehearsal - I decided to give myself a Poppins-free evening tonight...

Wow.  I just read her bio on Wikipedia and if it is accurate...obnoxious is an understatement!

Rather sad to think after her judicial misbehavior, inaccurate statements, causing suicide, etc., she is still on the air and people still watch her. Although perhaps they watch her as they watch the Jerry Springer and Maury Povich shows (two among many that I would never ever watch), more in fascinated disbelief than in appreciation.

Good news! The first two season of "It's always Sunny In Philadelphia" was released this week on DVD.  If you haven't seen this comedy series on FX, you should.  It's so funny, and so politically incorrect and rude.  I'm very fond of it.

I have a question for any DRs who are into the new Fall tv schedule.

What new shows have you heard good buzz about? What new shows do you plan on watching?

Any recommendations? I have the new Entertainment Weekly.  But i really don't know which shows to choose.

I can tell you the ones I'm going to sample (but there is no guarantee I'll stay with them through the season):

PUSHING DAISIES

JOURNEYMAN

CHUCK

SAMANTHA WHO?

PRIVATE PRACTICE

BACK TO YOU

MOONLIGHT

WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB

I began my evening by watching the second half of STAR! I only got to her sojourn to Cape Cod before I needed to turn it off and go back to TV, but I enjoyed it as usual. I do not like the DVD transfer very much, but it's better than nothing.

The Norman Jewison interview on TCM was done with a live audience, but I think I prefer the ones done in the studio.

Interesting comments on some of his films. Did he want Redford for THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR? He mentioned that McQueen wasn't his first choice for the part (though he knew the film would get financed with him attached)/ I just wonder whom he really wanted.

Y'all are the best - thanks for the continued wishes from DRs Cillaliz, TCB, Singdaw, and Jane and the heartfelt greeting and email from DR Danise.

Richard and I have had a quiet afternoon and evening.  He and his older brother went to the funeral home and church today to verify all the arrangements that Harriet had specified.  We've kept a pretty low profile the rest of the day - we watched one of the Mission Impossible movies and then Prime.  Neither one of us slept very well last night, so the relaxation has been good.  Even the phone has been quiet, but I suspect it will pick up after the notice appears in the paper (either tomorrow or Saturday morning).

When the interview went off, I noticed that one of the HBO channels was showing EVIL UNDER THE SUN starting at 9 in letterbox. Even though I have the anamorphic DVD, I decided toi watch the first hour of my favorite movie version of a Christie book. Don't know why this of all movies would be shown letterbox instead of open matte, but I wish this is something they'd start doing a lot more.

And I ended the evening with MAD MEN. An excellent episode with fewer commercials than usual. I think we're getting close to the season finale but obviously not next week.

I think next week is BURN NOTICE's two hour season finale.
