Those are pretty cool effects, Dakota!

Back from Toyland and environs, as well as a lovely breakfast with Susanna Moross Tarjan who send you her regards, BK.  It's been a celebrity morning: as Susanna and I were leaving Popovers around 10 am, I noticed that Ben Affleck had been sitting right behind us. Later, while I was waiting for the bus around 1:30 pm, Greg Naughton and Kelli O'Hara walked past me.

Now that I'm back, I've got the "Brain Tap" to finish up. Heigh-ho, heigh-ho!

Did he inherit the family "bedside manor"?

der Brucer

How sweet.   :)  I'm sure he did.  I remember going on hospital rounds a few times with my father & he was wonderful to watch with the people.  One time I watched him with a family while he told them a family member had died.  He was obviously very grieved & the family knew & appreciated his kindness.

I know that your shoulder is hurt, DR TCB, but you said nothing about taking a nap!   ???

Besides, if I took a nap with you, you KNOW neither one of us would get any sleep, now, would we?   ;)  ;)  ;)

It was a very short nap; the guilt of the pile of dirty laundry got me.

Christopher Meloni should have, at least, been nominated for LAW AND ORDER - SUV (or whatever it is called)  He is actually a fine actor and he has had some very impressive story lines the last few years.

He was nominated last year, but he didn't take it home. (He should have been nominated years ago for the riveting Chris Keller performance in OZ).

Ryan Seacrest is hosting.

I did finish all of the episodes of BROTHERS & SISTERS. That emotional good-bye at the airport as Justin boards the plane for Iraq was really devastating.

And, of course, Kevin's beginning relationship with the senator's brother was hilarious when he found out he was a Methodist minister.

Eric Winter, who plays the minister, is on VIVA LAUGHLIN, I believe, so he'll only be in a couple of early episodes of the show this next season. Of course, if VIVA LAUGHLIN tanks as everyone is predicting it will, he'll be free to return to BROTHERS & SISTERS full-time.

The unaired episode on the BROTHERS & SISTERS set was originally intended to be episode 2. They took out about three scenes from it and discarded the rest of the episode, working those scenes into episode 3. I'm glad to have another episode, but I can see why they thought it was kind of a stagnant episode. Very little happened except people brooding after the funeral of Nora's husband.

Also watched the rest of the bonus features including the bloopers, the "making of" documentary (which was almost 30 minutes and richer than most with interesting behind0-the-scenes stuff).

There was also a segment on the Ken Olin family who has a kind of dynasty with this show: Ken produces the show and directs some episodes, wifePatricia Wettig co-stars as Holly, son Cliff is a staff writer, and daughter Roxy guest starred in several episodes as the bisexual girl friend of bisexual actor played by Jason Lewis.

Ken Olin was at one time one of the hottest and handsomest men starring on TV. Like many of us who reach middle age, he now has a weight problem. He looks like he weighs about 75 pounds more than he did at his hunkiest.

Next, I cued up ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS. Didn't have time to start the movie, but I did watch the trailer twice, one to see and hear the trailer and once to her the commentary track for the trailer.

I'll watch the movie itself when I go back down.

I ended my afternoon by watching Friday night's PSYCH. Funny episode with the boys playing bounty hunters and stumbling onto the real solution of a murder (actually two murders). Maybe not quite as funny as some previous episodes, but always charming and endearing.

Kevin Sorbo, playing a REAL bounty hunter, still has IT.
