There are some people who don't get my sense of humor--ever.

And they shall be punished accordingly.

Given the season, one might have said "a rafter of Hainsies" wished him well.

Of course, one could choose any number of words dependent upon how one views the "collective" at any given time.

For instance, should someone find us a bit devious, one might say, "An unkindness of Hainsies/Kimlets wished you..."

If one thought we were a bit viperish, one could say "A slither of Hainsies/Kimlets wished you..."

Should one view us as rather along the line of rodents, one might say, "A mischief of Hainsies/Kimlets wished you a..."

Of course, we are a playful lot, not unlike otters, so it would be apt to say, "A romp of Hainsies/Kimlets wished you a Happy Birthday."

Words can be such fun.

My, my sense of humor is strange today.

Thanks, BK and RonP.  I will read Skip your greetings when he finishes cooking his own birthday brunch.  :)

RonP - Skip's never posted here, but since I think I used to look like your avatar, there's a kinship.

If I were "in charge at NBC", I'd find it pretty tough to cancel a show like "Life" since it's one of the finest shows they've introduced in some time.

I'd rearrange my schedule a bit and match "Life" up with something more worthy than "Bionic Woman".  I might even pit it against "Desperate Housewives" on Sunday evenings.

And, DR Ron Pulliam:

What if one thought of us as a rather snarky lot, hmmm?   ;)

Does this mean, then, that Skip and I have been "virtual"....umm....intimates?

Actually, one was my supervisor for a time. Let's just say we didn't get along famously, but then NO ONE liked her. I don't think she had a sense of humor.

Speaking of buying gifts for yourself (as Ron mentioned the other day), I just ordered one for someone else, and one for me. Isn't that the way it works?

(In truth, I ordered one for me, then one for someone else.)

I love shopping online. I was NEVER a born-to-shop person. Nooo! I loathe crowded stores. I get so sick of Christmas music. I hate looking for a parking space. Give me the Internet anyday!

That's MY story.  I knew I wanted a camera, but I also didn't want to have one and my mom NOT have one, so I determined to buy her one for Christmas.

And, as it turns out, it was my subconscious' intention that whatever I found that I thought good enough for my mom would ALSO be good enough for me.

So...I ordered two of everything...the camera, the accessories, extra memory card.  And now I'm teaching myself the ins and outs of using the camera so I can more easily get her into using hers BEFORE she opens the instruction manual and freaks out over the tons of options it affords her and the iconography that goes along with the options.

A good plan, I think. She'll be able to ask you how to use it--a bonus.

You said it, toots!

The internet is a BOON!

I do enjoy going out and "looking" when someone else is driving, or when it's not necessary to drive (going into San Francisco via BART).
