Last night's run-through (the first in the performance space) o fNite of the Living Dead! The Musical! lasted THREE HOURS!!

And that DOESN'T include the 10 minute intermission that we took! $:-\$

A film with the same format. A Character reading the styory and it unfolds.

The Neverendibg Story (which actually only covered a portion of the booK.)

Its sequal which I have never seen I think covers the other portion.

I also think that the music score is all wrong for this movie.
The exception being the title song which I somehow have a fondness for.

My ankle is healng well! I was even given a new boot to use around the house and does not have a cement block duct tape to wear even to bed. No turning over before. It's heaven- like getting away to the Bahamas. I think of t he old boot in musical comedy terms, and to paraphrase Tressy Tessie Tura (the Texas Twirler) about the old boot- "I paid 8 bucks for that costume; it scratches the devil out of me, and it don't bump when I do." Back to the beach, boys and girls!

My, such lovely photos last night from DR Jose and DR Vixmom!

I confess that I was quite impressed with the colors on the trees when I was in Pittsburgh. I have a picture of a tree near where my parents are that looks like it's on fire.

Vixmom, we also get that leaf bug down here in Florida. I think they are kinda neat.

I'm glad that DR Elmore is home safe and sound.

JRand, I'm so glad that you received good news on Ryan's tumor being benign.

I'm getting tired of "Dancing with the Stars". Much as I like Marie, I think it's time she go home as well.

I taped "Heros" so I haven't seen it yet. I'll do that sometime today.

I have my follow up appointment today. I'm looking forward to it. I have many questions.

Good morning, all! I've called the Post Office twice now to pick up my mail, and both times I've been told to call later since the carriers are in a meeting. What the hell?

Today, first the mail when ever, then Toyland. After that back here to sort through the mail, then continue with the Men's Chorus work.

DR MattH, there's a new book, JESUS FREAKS, about the case that inspired the LAW&ORDER episode you watched last night.

Last night, I heard Mendelssohn's Elijah performed in Carnegie Hall by the Collegiate Chorale, conducted by Robert Bass, along with a certain Mr. Bryn Terfel.

The hall was just about sold out. The choir was remarkably precise for a group of 200+ singers. As would be expected, Mr. Terfel was outstanding. Some of the other soloists a bit less so. But still, all in all quite an enjoyable evening.

There were no program notes; instead, we were cued through the structure of the piece and the texts by a digital display hung above the performers. I was reticent; indeed, I was reticent. But it worked pretty well.

It was pretty late for a school night when I got home, so I'm a little droopy today.
