I scanned through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No gay characters today. Forgot to even look at the previews for tomorrow.

Then, I switched back to MURDER SHE WROTE, Season 7, episode 4. This one guest starred Van Johnson, Bradford Dillman, Tony Geary, and the actor who played the bad guy on last night's JOURNEYMAN! Of course, he was playing a college student in the episode I watched today.

And I started episode 5, but only got part of the way through it. The guest stars are Brenda Vaccaro, Mike Ferrell, John Considine, and Howard McGillan.

You are correct, sir!
Now, if only there were a slew of Bollywood movie playing theaters in my neck of the woods!
Perhaps, DR MBarnum, you and I will have to team up and go to Mumbai and get some interviewing done with some of our mutual favorites!

LOL! Bombay would never be the same after we were there! Watch out Sunil Shetty!

Very pleased to read that NBC's CHUCK has also received a full season pick-up. I'm very, very happy about that.

DR Jane,

I just returned from walking over to the Capitol building and on my way back I spied a lady who was walking a Bermese. I told her that my friends in Ashland had one as well, but I had not seen it in person yet...so this was my first real life sighting of this type of dog.

It was soooooo cute...and just over a 1 year old.

My condolences to DER BRUCER. Emotionally detached in one instance, but still difficult, I suspect, in others. My best to you.

Thank you all for the dental vibes! I LUCKED OUT! The dentist said he thinks I lost a filling, but the tooth is fine and there's no pain, so instead of drilling (and $$$), we'll leave it. Yay!! I came home a happy camper.

PS Gold is now over $800/ounce. Ouch!

What?  Not even a brief pause to run his eyes up and down MBarnum like searchlights?

Nope! Not even a pause, not even a moment to see the whites of his eyes.

The people I speak of at the post office have cell phones so I'm sure they have computers.  My point is, however, you'd think they'd never been to a post office before - we know that's not true, since I seem them there all the time and they do the same thing each time.

Ebay imponderable--my auction of The Real McCoys season 2 is currently up by several bucks over Project Runway season 3.  Who even remembers The Real McCoys?   ;D

Count your blessings, BK--our closest branch is a "contract" post office, where you not only get the idiot customers, you get the equally idiotic owner, who has absolutely no clue about anything, augmented by her extreme nervousness (I've seen her spill her cash drawer more times than I can count).

Surprised to see that NBC is still promoting Passions. It is no longer on NBC...

Wonder if the writers will go back to work eventually.

BK, you might get a kick (caffeinated or otherwise) out of this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9de97cfUewA

TOD:  sentimentality wise, I have a wonderful signed first edition of The Silly Book by Stoo Hample, with a neat little drawing of Boodleheimer inside.  :)  The Silly Book was my favorite book when I was about 4 or 5, and it continues to be a family favorite with my kids.

Unfortunately an autographed edition of Will There Really Be a Morning? continues to elude me.  (That's a little joke for JR and me).

I like the one guy who drinks the cup of coffee and then starts talking, even though he couldn't possibly have swallowed.

I've been E&T the past few days because, inasmuch as we live in an ancient-tech world of Dial-Up, being on-line ties up the telephone; I have been trying to keep the phone line reasonably free in case my daughter needs to blow off steam. Her mother (my-ex) died suddenly (but not unexpectedly) on Sunday, in California, and my daughter is at six and sevens about what to do. She really doesn't want to go back to CA, but feels she is expected to. (She does not handle internal conflict well.) If she is in luck, they will bring her Mom back East to be buried in the family plot in MD and that would spare her the trip west. I'm sure my ex left her affairs in complete chaos and there is no one back there with the sense to straighten them out. I would not be at all surprised if my sons didn't dip into joint funds to pay to bury her back there and then worry about finding a will and burial instructions later. They had best work fast, however, my eldest lived with his Mother and has no independent means of support. I gather my ex planned to leave her estate to the younger brother with the condition that he take care of the eldest but the wiser bother said "No Thanks!") Fortunately, I am emotionally detached from the passing so can try and offer my daughter some objective counsel.

der Brucer

My condolences, der Brucer
