Larry - that makes sense.

It's just amazing when some people talk as if they know about factual matters.

ON THIS DAY in 1854, Pope Pius IX proclaimed the dogma of the Immaculate Conception.

It is entirely coincidental that our bk was born exactly 93 years later.

Yesterday Bryan sent me a happy Pearl Harbor day card.  I get these from time to time. ;D

Jane, I opened the door to the basement once to discover a mouse chewing merrily away on some sealed packets of ketchup I'd stored in a rack on the back of the door. I don't know which of us was more surprised. Mice apparently like ketchup.

I rarely get mice, but now and then one gets into the basement.

Or songs that cheer you up when you're feeling down (besides stuff from Brain from Planet X, of course).

Currently, for me, that's listening to "What You Want" from Legally Blonde.

"So Much Better" always cheers me up.  (I think that's the name of it)  Also from Legally Blonde

There's a dearth of famous people born on my birthday, with the possible exception of Carole Lombard, George Westinghouse, and Ellen Travolta.

And the word of the day is: SALUTARY!
My YURT, ALAS, is a mess, or I'd be more SALUTARY in wishing our esteemed BK a happy birthday.

Thanks for notifying me.  Alan Gomberg's an old friend and he knows what's going on.  I thought his post would qwork fine  as it was, even if not quite accurate.

That's because no one's ever seen you and Pearl in the same room at the same time.  If they did, it would put those vicious rumors to rest. ;)

I share my birthday with Davey Crockett, Mae West, Robert DiNiro, Sean Penn ( :P), and (the only one I actually met) Francis Gary Powers (who was in the same bowling league as my father).

I've got my Christmas plans all lined up. I'm going to my friend Gretchen's house for their Christmas on the 23rd.  It's a blast, they wear crazy hats and get inexpensive really silly gifts and just have a lot of fun.   Then the 24th to the 26th I'll be at my parents' house.  My nephew, his wife and my grandnephew are staying there too, so that will be great.
