Darling daughter got snowed in and cannot be at the do this evening - she did send a lovely e-mail, though.

Good Afternoon!

Well, I started doing some cleaning, and some organizing, and some mail sorting and purging, and bed-making, etc., etc., etc.  And now I think I shall get ready to head out for the day.  To where I do not know yet.  But I'm sure I'll end up somewhere.

Even though I share my birthday with many, many greats, my favorite of them is James Thurber - that just makes me very happy.  Did anyone mention the marvelously marvelous composer Martinu?

Silly me!  I had skipped over that one because I wasn't sure enough DRs would recognize the name.

What if I only remember their first names?

You can substitute locations where you met them...

i.e.,

the bench by the Reservoir
the fountain in the Reservoir
the plaza next to the Reservoir

etc.

Our DS Rob just arrived home from college after a grueling week of final exams.  In honor of BK's birthday, the selection for family pizza/movie night is The Faculty.  Rob says to tell you that he and Richard especially appreciate your hat-tip to Robert A. Heinlein

I'm typing away without the assistance of my splint. :) I'm trying to
use it less today.  I will put it back on when I take Sherlock for his hike.

Jose you reminded me, yesterday I changed the sheets all by myself and for the first time since I injured myself I made the bed up nice.:D  It was a big accomplishment & a real birthday treat.  Funny how exciting the little things in life become when you have been denied them.;D

Well then, I hope my next boyfriend has a strong heart!

Other than the story and two of the characters, David and I didn't have much to do with The Faculty - Kevin Williamson virtually changed every line of dialogue and a lot of the particulars - but the idea and the lead character and the principal are basically what we wrote, save for their dialogue.
