I just watched What Dreams May Come on HD-DVD.  Wowza.

I liked the film and the novel it was based on; I can imagine that this would be a show-off HD-DVD!

I finished watching HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 in the standard definition version. I continued to be amazed how the difference between the widescreen Blu-ray and the full frame sDVD was so telling in these releases. All that busy, athletic choreography got reduced in the full frame version. The widescreen made it seem like a real film with higher than usual production values for a made-for-TV feature. The full frame one looked strangely small and limited.

I rewatched the bonus features, too. They are exactly the same as on the Blu-ray with the exception of the various Disney trailers. The sDVD contains many more trailers than the Blu-ray had.

Well, one assortment I've been wanting to try is their...

Collezione Italiano

Taste Italy's finest artisanal ingredients through the medium of chocolate—Taleggio cheese, Tuscan fennel pollen, and several more flavors.

Sweet and savory, reinterpreted. Lift the purple lid and experience Italy in an interpretation of savory + sweet. Your tasting begins with the Rooster truffle, a mélange of Taleggio cheese, organic walnuts and Tahitian vanilla beans draped in bittersweet dark chocolate. A bit salty, slightly tannic and rich in mouth-feel with an undercurrent of sweetness.
Collection includes guided tasting notes and suggested pairings.
Rooster (8): Taleggio cheese + organic walnuts + Tahitian vanilla bean + bittersweet dark chocolate
Sale del Mare (2): Sicilian sea salt caramel + milk chocolate + pine nut
Polline di Finocchio (2): Wild Tuscan fennel pollen + dark chocolate
Olio d'Oliva (2): First press extra virgin olive oil + white chocolate + dried kalamata olives
Balsamico (2): 12-year aged balsamic vinegar + dark chocolate + Sicilian hazelnuts

These people make white chocolate and olive candy and it's gourmet. I eat pizza with chocolate and I get looked askance at.  :P

I should check the week ahead to see if there's anything I should be recording coming up on television.

Think how much further our posting totals could climb if so many DRs weren't off watching movies and games and such!  ;)

I wasn't watching no stinkin' movies!

I was taking a shower.
Then, I was watching two wonderful episodes from  SUPERNATURAL's  first season:  SCARECROW and FAITH, one featured an X FILES actor, the other a BUFFY actress.

Next, I began the LOST - Season 3 box set. Even though it's going to be released on Blu-ray, I was sent the sDVD version. Looks nice for regular DVD set of transfers, but, of course, I would rather have gotten the Blu-ray version since LOST is one of the most vibrant and breathtaking-looking HD series currently being broadcast. Those Hawaiian locations really pop in HD.

All those times I'd sneak out to see
Santa standing at the door
Santa moving to the tree
Santa resting down his bag
With a present just for me

The television box reset itself and is now working.  When I ended my help session, I was number 284 - with a bullet.
