Mr. Pogue,
you should have a royalty check soon.  I used a giftcard to get the HD-DVD of Dragonslayer this morning.   ;D

I'm in the mood for food
Simply because I'm hungry
And when I get too hungry
I'm in the mood for food.

Do any other DRs read and catch up on the notes before logging on here?

2008's good bossa nova news:  Luciana Souza's gorgeous "New Bossa Nova" CD is luscious, with BN versions of American pop hits, and a nice duet with James Taylor, to boot.

2008's potentially scary bossa nova news:  Sergio Mendes' second collaboration with Will.I.am is due in about 8 weeks.  Hopefully it won't be "infected" with quite as much rap as the first outing.  It also apparently features a collaboration with Herb (who?) and Lani (double who?).

I got the soundtrack to a film I'd never even heard of, entitled Bossa Nova, some Bruno Baretto film (the world's worst director and husband of Amy Irving, who stars).  It's a combo platter of old tunes and some new Deodato score tracks - a very pleasant listen.

Sad to read that creator/writer Jon Robin Baitz appears to have left Brothers & Sisters.

OMG! He's the heart and soul of the show. This does NOT make me happy.

The episode of BOSTON LEGAL last night was a rerun so I immediately deleted it.

In order . . . .

1. I read the end of the last night's posts after I log off

2. I read today's BK notes

3. I begin with today's posts on the forum and go from there.

Next, I watched last night's SVU which was, as DR Elmore previously pointed out, a new episode. A good one too about homeless "families." Scary stuff and an interesting story, very layered this week.

Then, I spent almost the rest of the afternoon on ROB AND BIG. I have two more episodes to go and some bonus features. Thankfully, the shows are so inane that I don't have to take many notes, and the guys are such good natured Joes that it's easy to just sit there and watch them be ridiculous.

I did zip through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No gay characters on today or in the previews for tomorrow.

Good Afternoon!

Well, I opened some mail... I read some mail... I took care of some e-mails... I made a few phone calls.. Etc., etc., etc...

And now I'm about to head out into the cold(!) to meet a friend for dinner.

My routine...

I always stay logged in - I checked that box...

-I read the posts from the night before that I haven't read yet.
-I read Today's Notes.
-I read today's posts.

*And with tabbed browsing, it's easy to set up the responses to any posts I wish to respond to after I'm done catching up.  And also keep track of the ones I no longer need or with to respond to.

I, too, took care of today's errands. I'm also trying to get back into a work routine after a much-needed break.
