MBarnum, when you visit the Humane Society do you take the dogs out to play?

I can't say that i was totally surprised. I predicted kristy, sayeisha (sp?) and even remi would be in the bottom. Of the guys david hernandex was the only one i thought did poorly enough to be vulnerable.

So i wasn't surprised to see kristy, sayeisha and david in B3. But i really did think one of the girls would go (mostly because i thought he was more popular). I'd heard a few people say he was their favorite. I can't say i care (since there was something about him i did not like). But it was interesting that his publicity did not keep him around longer.

To be fair, I thought David Archuleta was terrible.  I know that popularity counts for a lot, but David Hernandez was MUCH BETTER than Archuleta...even though both weren't particularly good.

And I don't care what anyone else thinks: Kristy Lee Cook rocks!  That song was very agreeable for the C/W spin she put on it.  It was a bit too C/W for my tastes, but it "worked", despite Simon's hypocritical stance that it didn't translate.  It was as viable for C/W as Amanda's was for a southern juke joint.

Paula is totally out of her mind/out of control and someone NEEDS to do something.  She's a disgrace to the Fox Network (IF that is even POSSIBLE), and certainly a national disgrace to be so visibly drugged-out on a show that draws more viewers than any other.

Simon seems on the verge of having it out on network TV with her.  They've had some ugly moments the past week, and Paula blames Simon when it's truly her fault.

Haven't heard from Mr. Spirtas, but have from Mr. Redman, who'll be stopping by around one-thirty.

Speaking of which...JMK, I just sent you an e-mail!!

Wallace sure is a cutie, and very tempting.  His blurb says he isn't keen on car rides.

I imagine that once he begins to associate car rides with going to the park or something fun like that, he would get over his fear.

I would think so, unless he gets sick in a car.  They didn't state he does get sick so I would hope that isn't the reason.  I have never had a dog that got sick, thank goodness, and wouldn't want one.

If we lived closer we might check him now.  I really don't need another puppy to do more damage to my limbs. ;D

And there there is the puppy I sort of said I might want.  Sherlock's mother had a puppy with TWO blue eyes.  We haven't seen a photo yet.  I am relieved the girl with two blue eyes is not the girl I wanted when I suggested we would take a blue eyed pup.  Honestly, I was really hoping there wouldn't be one to tempt me.  I'm such an idiot ::)

I'm getting hungry, but shall wait to eat until Mr. Redman is gone.  In the little mini-mall where I get my mail, they've just opened up a cupcake place - fresh cupcakes every day - I had a peanut butterish one last week and it was deelish.

Best of luck with these two new dogs!  VIBES to the woman!  I hope she gets her life back, and her dogs.

The female was very agressive towards Buster and it clearly was not to be.

Wiggles, on the other hand, was a love-fest:

Wiggles first trip to the side yard.

Sniffing

And more sniffing

And exploring the back 40

He let me push him throught the doggie door both ways, but has yet to so do it alone (he did discover that the yard is for peeing and pooping).

I put a dish with food in the newly cleaned out crate in the Dining Room - said "Wiggels - Kennel" - and in he went.

He is now napping on the hall floor.

der Brucer

The women has another friend with no animals who is willing to take the "robust" female.

Turned out just as beautiful as forecast. I did wear a long sleeved shirt, but sicne we were inside for lunch, I had no need to roll up the sleeves. It's quite cool still inside the house, so the long sleeves are still welcome.

When I got in from a late lunch, I put in THE SMILING LIEUTENANT and watched that DVD. Brother, neither Claudette Colbert nor (especially) Miriam Hopkins could sing much. So happy neither wanted to persue a musical career.

The ending of this movie has always been a surprise. You're primed for Chevalier to end up with one woman, and he ends up with another. I'll bet folks at the time were surprised, too.

TOD:
Kenneth Branagh's HAMLET.
PSYCHO
DEAD AGAIN
SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER
THE HAUNTING (it does beg the question as of Elanor's sanity vs the house itself).
WHO IS HARRY KELLERMAN AND WHY IS HE SAYING THOSE TERRIBLE THINGS ABOUT ME?
NIGHTMARE (1964)
Dario Argento's OPERA
Fassbinder's QUERELLE, if l'amour fou counts.

PRISON(ERS):
STRAIGHT TIME
HBO's OZ, naturally
CAGED
FORTUNE AND MEN'S EYES
SHORT EYES
POISON (1991)
KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN

I didn't have enough time left to start on another movie and finish it, so I put in a CSI: MIAMI disc from Season 3 and watched an episode. This was the one that introduced patrol officer Ryan Wolf to the show, always one of my favorite episodes and a smashing introduction for his character to join the CSI team.

Another prison movie I love (which I mentioned just a few days ago when we were talking about Burt lancaster) was BRUTE FORCE, one of the greats.

Today's mail brought the review copy of SWEENEY TODD (streets April 1). It's a two-disc set, so it's loaded with featurettes. I'm not going to start on it until tomorrow afternoon, and I think for a change, I'll watch the bonuses in the afternoon and the film at night (after it gets dark, so I can better judge black levels on the disc.)

More silly publicity stuff. The disc came on an aluminum pie plate surrounded by red excelsior and covered with the PR material printed on a round cardboard lid with the liner notes on one side and the movie logo on the other.

I also listened to Judy Kaye as Lily Garland in ON THE 20TH CENTURY yesterday.
