FORTUNE AND MEN'S EYES  Starring Michael Greer and Wendell Burton (Does every man that Liza touch, become gay?)

I'm going to hear her again, 2 weeks from tonight at the Audio Publishers Association dinner in Minneapolis.  There will be, potentially, 500 people at that event, so I'm glad I saw her up close and personal last night.

The other speakers at the dinner are audiobook narrator Scott Brick and audiobook producer Dan Musselman.

And I have reason to believe that attendees will receive "goodie bags"  ;)

Ginny (or any other audio book fans) - were you familiar with Anna Fields who died tragically last year?   I have heard people say that she was one of the best.

Yes, I was going to post about it, but I forgot.  I remember meeting him when The Abbey Players (a local theater group that no longer exists) did Anything Goes.  I wasn't in that show, but I knew most of the people who were (Jeff Kingsbury directed it).  And I think that we might've been in some show or revue together, but I can't remember if we actually were.  I haven't heard anything about him for years, so I assumed that he moved away.

Just a quick note to let you know I am in Green Valley, but my suitcase is touring the country on Frontier Airlines.  Don't know if it will be here soon - there's a possibility it could be on the 3:00 Pm flight from Denver.  They'll call and deliver if it arrives. Otherwise I'll be buying clothes.

Other than that - we're having a good time.

Well I would be the last to know.  His sister is living up in Covington, but I haven't a clue as to what happened to Buzz.

The weatherman said that the local weather should be improving.  However, when I looked out a few minutes ago, I began to have my doubts.

FYI:  Even though the dates on the right say that there is a performance on Sunday, March 23, we do not have an Easter Sunday performance.  We had to sign a document stating that we were told that there would not be a performance on that Sunday.  They moved the matinee to Saturday, so that there will be the same number of performances.

Having done How To Succeed twice (playing Finch), it depends on how you play him.  There's really almost no difference between the movie Finch and the show Finch - they did drop Coffee Break and Paris Original (I think) from the film, and I think Rosemary had a bit more to do in the film.

I'll bet you were enduring as Finch.

OK, thanks. Well, in addition to those, they also cut Cinderella Darling, Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm and Love from a Heart of Gold.

I wonder what they're talking about with the supposedly "hard-edged" original production? Weird.

DR RLP - I hope you took advantage of the Gold Box and got Girl Next Door....for 8 dollars less than I paid.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It's fun, and the extras are interesting.

I listened to the commentary on BLACK WIDOW last night by Mr Alan Rode.  Mostly it was a list of the films of the various people.  He touched on Gene Tierney's problems and read a paragraph or two from her book.  And he added a couple of interesting items about the film itself.

Much publicity was made about a $2000 dress that was made for Ginger Rogers and there are several pictures of her in it, but it isn't in the movie.  Seems to have been a scene in her dressing room that didn't make it.

Rode has a big problem with names - Bea Benaderet becomes Bea Benaderek.

And I don't think this is right:

Skip Homeier - he pronounces it as Ho-mee-ay

Virginia Leith - he pronounces as LYth....I don't think either is correct.

He also points out a combination of a location shot and a studio shot that just wasn't possible....the cab pulls up and Heflin gets out.  The cab wasn't shot in NYC....couldn't have been.  No cut, no dissolve, no traveling matte.
