I know, I've been terribly E and T -- but come June, I'll be back in all my gratuitous glory (Ronnie P will be so happy ...  ;))

The thesis? Hmm, well, it's going -- where? To be determined (hopefully not hell in a hand basket..). I completed my companion one-act Parched (my experiment updating O'Neill's Thirst) . I'll be holding auditions for both it and Thirst tomorrow and Thursday. I'll be presenting them as companion one-act readings for Tomorrow's Theatre Tonight (a monthly reading series here) in April and then Thirst as my thesis presentation in May.  Got the set design and set crew lined up and I'm working on all the other details.  Send those vibes for successful casting!

WOW!  Successful vibes all around!

Now I feel guilty I'm not taking Sherlock for a hike this morning.  Instead I'm dog walking another dog.  I've been walking this dog once a week for the last two months as part of a larger group of volunteers.  Beginning next month her parents caregivers are going to take over the dog walking responsibilities.

I'm a little sorry that the running gag about DR Karen and my fling in Paris has gone by the wayside.  I was counting on Cason's inevitable windfall from his eventual TV series (perhaps more than one) and inevitable film career to help support me in my old age and was hoping to use the internet postings as a guilt trip.

Vin, check out the Markle Residence. It's a women's apartment building run by the Salvation Army. It's on 13th Street just off 6th Avenue. As of September 2007 the daily rates were $75 for a room.

You can see more at the Web site

The Markle

Ben, thank you.  I'll ask her to have a look at it?  Do you by any chance know anyone who has stayed there?

I would like to think that An Ongoing Litany of Bilious Spite can somehow, someway become a running gag.

Jennifer, I listen to the traffic reports from the time I get in the car to the time I arrive at the theater - and do you know what?  They have never, not once, spoken of any problem on any freeway I've been on, despite my being in bumper to bumper traffic.  They tend only to alert you to slow spots where cars are on fire, or crashes, or stalls.  Last night, however, just as I was deciding which freeway to take home they did mention a crash on the 57 so I took the 5 and all was well.

Allergy season has really kicked in.  Just what in did to deserve being kicked is anyone's guess.  Is that a running gag?

I do know that a couple of our dear readers found reasonable hotel rates in NY - what were they?

Isn't she a character in Les Miz?

All I know is that the rates at Chateau Rodzinski and Hotel Elmore were very reasonable.

Jose's Notel Motel, on the other hand, while having a great complimentary breakfast, does have a bit of a rep. Or so I have heard.

You of all people should have figured that one out a long time ago.   ;D

Hey, I heard a great CD last night on our local jazz station you'd love, Mike.  It's a jazz thing by a guy named Matt Geraghty, but his vocalist is Indian, and they do some Bollywood stuff, jazz-style.  The CD is called "Passport."  It's not up on his site yet, but is talked about on his bio:
