I'm so glad we didn't have to wait for page eight.  Getting to page nine will be fine.

Tuesday greetings from beautiful downtown Minneapolis!  Thanks to travel vibes from several DRs, my trip from Cincinnati was quite smooth and I was in my room here at the Marquette Hotel before noon.  My roommate Sue arrived yesterday, so I knew I wouldn't have to wait for the room to be ready.

I've taken the Skywalk down to the convention center to pick up my registration packet.  On the way back, I stopped for a tuna sandwich at Subway and am now in the nice hotel business center using the computer.  Sue is out on an all-day F. Scott Fitzgerald tour, so I may go back upstairs for a nap soon.

Glad you have arrived safely, DR Ginny.  The Twin Cities are great; you should have a fabulous time.  :)

I do know that a couple of our dear readers found reasonable hotel rates in NY - what were they?

Reasonable hotel rates in NYC?! (insert evil laugh) Boo-haw-hah-hah-haw!

Have them check this site:

Well, it'll be mostly conference-going, but it's nice to be in what seems to be a thriving city.

Yes, DR DakotaCelt, it's the Public Library Association National Conference.  I haven't been to a PLA since 2000 in Charlotte, NC.

Think I'm gonna wander around the IDS Center a bit and see if I can find some coffee and dessert.

Bye for now!
