The Lanin CD is a two-fer with Dancing Theater Party being the lead title - the other seems to be a country/folk song album.

Mr. Connick did "orchestrate" for what sounds like a string quartet on one track.

Oops, you have the wrong state JR. Laverne and Shirley are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ginny is in Minneapolis, MN. They share a southeastern border but Ginny would miss most of the conference if she decided to visit L&S

I began by watching last night's OLD CHRISTINE. I had some really good laughs, and I loved one particular kissing scene, even if it was in a dream.

CSI MIAMI - a barely OK episode. A murder at a wedding but not a particularly interesting case.

I was really infuriated with Eric playing Sir Galahad again, this time doing a favor for a stripper who came on to him. Last time he tried to do a favor for a woman in distress, he was set up and got into all sorts of trouble. So stupid to fall victim to a pair of batting eyelashes again. I'll be interested to see if anything comes of this, or if it was merely a part of last night's episode only.

Next, I watched another NUMB3RS episode. This was investigaing the death of a mixed martial arts fighter during a sparring session. Pretty good mystery.

Next I watched ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS GO TO THE MOVIES, a compilation of three episodes from their 1990 TV series that do riffs on HONEY I SHRUNK THE KIDS, BIG, and BACK TO THE FUTURE. Lots of songs - 7 in the total 66 minute running time of the three combined episodes.

The BACK TO THE FUTURE episode was the best since the modern CHipmunks go back in time and switch places with the 1957 Chipmunks right before they became famous. I LOVED the way the 1957 Chipmunks looked (just like on THE ALVIN SHOW series on Saturday morning TV), and they even had Clyde Crashcup from the old series as the one who invented the time machine. Also got to hear "Alvin's Harmonica" and "The Alvin Twist" on this episode. Such happy memories of a more innocent time.

I plan on watching DAISY KENYON tonight when I go back down, so I got the DVD all cued up in the player, but since I had time, I went ahead and watched two of the bonus documentaries on the disc. I started with the "making of" documentary. Glad I had seen the movie about a year ago on the Fox Movie Channel, or many of the surprises would have been ruined by watching this before watching the movie.

Good little featurette, even if it doesn't have Dr. Drew Casper frothing at the mouth about Joan Crawford. I guess they figured they didn't need him since they had Charles Busch.

I met Mr Redford and his wife on a trip to Manhattan around 1983 or so. They were quite lovely, and I'm happy he stays busy as a composer.

Long long time ago (a Don McLean Reference), the readers were accused of being a bunch of fags. Those of us who were posting at the time assumed the poster had meant to type "Figs'.

I think DR td may have been around at the time.
I do remember it was figs and not raisins.

I still blame Jose. (but he was not there at the time).
