My father pulled a moth out of a woman's ear once.

Is that like pulling a rabbit out of a hat?    ???

I shall be E&T tonight, as I shall be dining out with friends who are here from out of town.

When I was in Utah, I ate at Outback STeakhouse for the first time and I thought the food was quite good.

DR Jennifer, we also purchased the Paisley Farm four bean salad from Costco.  Is this the one you are talking about?  I think it’s great.

My goodness, DR JRand57 - those shelves are simple groaning! [and that's not even allowed at HHW!]

Be careful...you know what happened to DR elmore3003!

They look scary.  Prior to my cleaning project some shelves were two rows deep, now there are only a few paperbacks behind other paperbacks.

Handyman is here - no solutions yet.  Everything at the breaker box seems to be fine.  He may have to go up to the attic to see if something's wrong up there - it's all very odd.

Problem one solved - the bathroom and attendant circuits are fixed.  Now if he can just do the same for the den, we're in business.  There's a whole second set of breakers outside, and he replaced one to fix the bathroom and he's back out there trying to find the one for the den.

Julie Andrews in her biography talks about Pellinore's dog in CAMELOT occasionally leaving puddles around the "Lusty Month of May" scene.  Her bio needed a good editor to correct her occasional memory lapses, although the overall book is quite charming and delightful.

Do her occasional memory lapses have anything to do with her recollections about the dog?

I read an excerpt from the early years in Good Housekeeping.  Charming describes it well.

No.  A closer parallel would be extracting a gerbil from an anus, though.

He's still out there - I really hope he can fix the den - the bathroom had been out for over a week - the den for less than twelve hours, so I'd think it would be easier to fix.

Apparently, the bathroom breaker was corroded, and he fixed that.  But he's saying the den is a different problem, although I don't really see how it can be.

I have no idea.

The memory lapses have to do with crediting someone for something they didn't do, not necessarily having the correct chronology, and that sort of thing.

As for the Topic of the Day...

When I was on the road, Perkin's and Applebee's were always my stand-bys.  -And even though I should be over "it", I still won't eat at Cracker Barrel.

Neither will I, DR Jose.

I did get the front yard mowed. Because we've had a good amount of rain and the temps have been warm for the last month, the grass was actually quite high in spots, so it took longer to get it done than usual. Thankfully, there was a steady breeze blowing so I didn't get too hot doing the work.

Not one of my favorite things to do, of course.

When I came back inside, I watched BIG NIGHT recorded off the Universal-HD channel.

I have never seen this movie despite wanting to see it for a very long time. It's charming, light, and bittersweet with Stanley Tucci and Tony Shalhoub playing Italian brothers trying to keep a restaurant afloat in NYC of the 1950s. Wonderful cast along with them: Isabella Rossalini, Minnie Driver, Campbell Scott, Ian Holm, Marc Anthony. I really enjoyed it, and seeing it in HD was a treat.

Next came the last of the Lubitsch musicals from the box set: ONE HOUR WITH YOU. Enjoyed the score. The plot is so silly, and I was surprised how wasted Roland Young was in the movie.

I got SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER cued up in the player, so I'll be watching that tonight before I skim through the IDOL results show and watch CSI: NY "live."

Just read NBC's new schedules for next season.

MEDIUM, LAW & ORDER, LIPSTICK JUNGLE, and FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS were all renewed but will not all be premiering in the fall.

LIPSTICK JUNGLE moves to WEdnesdays at 10 until midseason when LAW & ORDER takes over the timeslot.

LIFE will be on Fridays at 10 next season.

MEDIUM is once again being held until midseason where it will debut after NFL football season is over on Sunday nights at 9.

I also just read the list of Peabody Award winners for 2007. (This is the highest honor a TV show can receive.)

Among the winners which are discussed here:

30 ROCK

DEXTER

PROJECT RUNWAY (first reality series winner ever)

MAD MEN

THE COLBERT REPORT

He's been in the attic, under the house - still nothing.  I really wish he'd go back to the outside breaker box and recheck that particular breaker for corrosion since that's what fixed the other thing.
