Her mother, Charlotte Shelby, killed William Desmond Taylor.

Has that been proven beyond doubt?  I cannot recall the last "update" I saw on this story, but it cast doubts on MMM's actually having done it.

Yes, our pal BrettySpaghetti named her, actually.

Nothing ever proven.  It was said that King Vidor actually solved it, but withheld the information; but I doubt it.  I believe the insanely jealous Miss Shelby was a far better choice than MMM.

Michael, what happened to the life-size  photo?

It caused wide screen.

But just for you...a smaller photo of the late Mike Mentzer (oddly, enough, his brother Ray died just 2 weeks after Mike).

Why didn't you just resize it?

I left to get dinner, now I'm eating and looking at those photos :P

Sad & strange they both died so close to each other. What was the cause?

This game is really a double-endged sword.  I was so excited when I came home and found we were already on Page 13; but the downside is that most of those posts were just two words, so I ended up spending less time than normal reading the day's posts.

Good Evening!

Well, here's a friendly "hint" of sorts...

A friend of mine is coming in from Toronto tomorrow afternoon, and he spent some time today buying theatre tickets for some shows this week.  When he checked first thing this morning, nothing "good" was available for anything he wanted to see this week.  Well... Around 2:00, he checked Roundabout's site, and, lo and behold, he was able to get a first row, Front Mezz seat for Wednesday night performance of Sunday in the Park with George - with the discount code!  Then he just checked about an hour ago for tickets for South Pacific, and he was able to get a front row, Center Loge seat for tomorrow night's performance.  -And I just checked myself, and there were fourth row, Center Orchestra seats available for Wednesday's matinee!  Both performances were listed as "No Tickets Available" earlier today.  (Alas, no discounts, but still...)  -Oh, and he got a fifth row orchestra seat - on the aisle - for Gypsy on Thursday night.

-It's all in the timing!
