DR GINNY - I read THE PORTABLE DOROTHY PARKER many many years ago, there are stories of great humor and stories that can move you to tears....including one about an adopted boy.....don't remember the details...but wow!

I did not think anything from SCOPIOTONES could top Ms Joi Lansing's performances....but I do offer this clip for your edification, confusion, and head scratching wonderment.

21ST CENTURY PARENTING

ROCKYMOUNTAINNEWS

Quote
DAD ARRESTED AFTER DISPUTE OVER WHICH GANG RIGHT FOR BABY
'''
When officers questioned the woman, they learned that the two had been together for four years and were the parents of a child.

When police asked the woman why the two had separated, she said they have "different ideas about how the baby should be raised," according to a police report.

When officer Daniel Swift asked the woman what she meant by that, she said that the two belong to different street gangs.

"They could not agree on which gang the baby would claim," Swift said.

I'm quite fond of Miss Parker's stories and poems.  And her great theatre and book reviews.

I don't know what you mean by that.  I'm not acting out or behaving badly.

I've not stated anything that has not been obvious to anyone with reading comprehension.     8)

There was a tone of something beyond snarky in them, a je ne sais quoi edge, perhaps.

I hope you can get past it.

Re-reading it, I guess it looks like I'm snarking Bretty, but I was actually not intending it that way at all.

He's received some rather blatant come-ons, IMO, in this forum.  Thus, my remarks about the used napkin or partially eaten pork chops being potential "collectibles".

And the watermelon seed, too.

Ok, I'm watching Desperate Housewives, something I never do, but this whole reaction to a tornado watch is hilarious. Obviously the writer know nothing about the weather.

DR Laura, that photo is so beautiful, it almost doesn't look real! You should have it framed and mounted, preferably before a dozen years go by!  ;D

Thanks, Edi. I have a few that are actually good enough to frame, which I have done. This one I don't think is quite clear enough.
