Well...You Deserve It

I feel much better now.  I just knew that something was a little off and I felt that way last night too (I get "feelings" when things are off - I just wish I could interpret the feeling when I have it).  Well, something was off and the trial has been delayed a day.  I feel like it's all back as it should be and I'll be ready to go on Wednesday.   I've also felt like the witness I cancelled was going to hurt me as much as help me.   I don't want her here anymore.

Fresh or Frozen?

In either case, tilapia is a very versatile and "forgiving" fish.  Sauteeing, frying, baking and broiling seem to suit it best, imho.  -Although, I guess with enough aromatics, you could steam it too.

When it comes to preparing fish at home, simpler is always better for me - I'll leave the fancier, more time consuming preparations for when I eat out and someone else is doing the cooking.  I usually just slick the bottom of a baking dish with some oil, place the fillets in the pan, season as desired, then bake for about 10-15 minutes at 350-400 degrees, or until the fish flakes easily when pierced with a fork.

I agree, when I'm cooking fish at home I want it simple and easy. This sounds good!

Listening to a marvelously marvelous 3 CD set of music by the great Netherlands composer/arranger Rogier van Otterloo - very much like Claus Ogerman.

I've grown very fond of the various spice blends that Penzey's makes/sells.  

 Their Norwalk, CT store was on my Mom's list of "required stops" when she visited with me last month.

Back from errands - no packages or mail, but they'd just gotten the mail in so there may be something later.

CHARLOTTE CORDAY

I was mistaken about their being five documentaries on the next INDY JONES disc. There were actually SIX documentaries which took me almost all afternoon to watch.

I began with one of the end of World War I and the Treaty of Versailles.

Next came a documentary on Gertrude Bell, whom I had never heard of. She was an English lady who became a sort of "Mother of Modern Iraq." Fascinating story.

Next was a nice biography of Paul Robeson who was Indy's best friend before the war.

I'm so very glad to see that the surgery and meds haven't altered DR Ron Pulliam's personality in any way.
