A couple of Chinese-Kosher restaurants have opened in the LA area.

Good Evening!

Since it was such a beautiful day, I decided to walk up and through Central Park after my auditions were done.  I put in my earphones, put my iPod on Shuffle Play and just sat on a bench in the middle of the park for about an hour...

-A perfect way to start my holiday weekend.  :)

...Then once I got home, I went ahead and changed out a couple of light bulbs (four in all) in various ceiling fixtures... Made a sweep of the various bottles and containers in the fridge that were "past due" (then rinsed them out, and put them in the recycling bin)... Bagged up the recyclables and put them out for collection... Threw out the garbage... Went to the store to buy some paper towels... Picked up some dinner - fish-n-chips... And started some laundry.

Very domestic, yes.  But since I'm the only one home right now, it's been kind of nice just taking care of the apartment and myself.  And it's also quiet too. :)

We are celebrating my mother's birthday tomorrow by driving a short way to meet her at a "vintage" movie palace to hear a half hour recital on their mighty Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ, followed by a showing of Chaplin's City Lights, which I've never seen, followed by lunch out at a nice restaurant.

Keith set up my new google page with a box showing most watched YouTubes.  I saw a picture of a baby
in a high chair & was curious.

More casting to come.  Reading looks like it will be on June 16.

Wow, this is getting exciting.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and vibes.  I truly appreciate them.  This is all getting to be very depressing.

Hello, everyone!

I've spent the last two days meeting with real estate agents and taking care of other sell-the-house stuff. Did I really need something else on my plate? Oy. But one of them sounds promising. I think he and I are on the same page.

The latest trend in real estate is staging, ie, making the house look presentable. I do appreciate the concept, but the idea of someone who has fantasies of being a decorator coming in and tarting up my house...well, obviously, I don't like it!

DR TCB,
Thank you for your mention the other day about bonuses to SELLERS whose homes have not yet sold. I had not heard about that. Performance bonuses to agents who get results, yes, but not the reverse.

Well, I just got a call from my friend Josh, asking if I would want to see the new Indiana Jones movie.  Of course, I do!  So, we're going to meet at about 9:15 for the 9:30 showing (I'll probably get there earlier).  I'll just go home real quick for a little something to eat then head over to the theater.  So, I'm off.

Until later!

Good luck -not one of M. Night Shyamalan's best efforts.

der Brucer

Though I liked his previous two films more, I think this is the last one of his films which works all the way through. I wasn't a big fan of it the first time I saw it. It certainly increased in my estimation this time around.

Last DVDs we have attempted to watch

Into the Wild
Charlie Wilson's War

Our time would have been better used washing socks or cleaning the oven.

I haven't seen the second one, but I quite liked INTO THE WILD. Sorry you didn't.

I forgot to mention earlier that I did watch today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Yep, Col. Crazy, Ameera, Luke, and Noah were all there in various New York locations but very little of any consequence got done. There is definitely skullduggery afoot, however.

When I went back down, I watched SIGN on Blu-ray. I liked the movie better this time around than when I saw it before. It worked better for me this second time.

The HD encoding looked very nice but it wasn't perfect. There were dirt specks and a couple of other little problems.

Sound was an uncompressed 5.1 mix, the most open and enveloping sounding a soundtrack like this can attain on HD.

There were about an hour and a half of bonus features and I watched all of them, too, all ported over from the sDVD version of the movie. None of the bonuses was done in HD, sad to say.

In the time I had left, I finished the episode of THE FUGITIVE I had started this afternoon with Lois Nettleton. Surprise! She didn't commit the murder after all. The town deputy did it!

The episode was directed by Sydney Pollack.

I recorded tonight's rerun of NUMBERS which I'll watch tomorrow as I cook and eat a light lunch. I'm invited to a friend's house for dinner tomorrow evening, so I won't eat a big meal for lunch.

Did a bunch of errands, then had some dinner, about which more in the notes, visited with my designer, Doug Haverty, then came home and watched another Chan movie (the worst I've seen).  Now I shall proof a bit and do stuff on the computer.
