Many of those Odd Couple episodes were written by our very own Mr. Mark Rothman.

Back from lunch at Art's - I did some more work on the new opening, then made some cuts and a few line changes.  I also have to rethink the comic bits that involve the camera crane in Dancing Dildos, since we won't ever be having one on the stage - I have an idea how to do it, though, that would probably cause just as much pandemonium.

The movie version of MAMMA MIA comes out this summer with Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, and Colin Firth.

And the soundtrack will be released July 8th! :D

Good Evening!

Over the past few hours, I did this...

Since I had been planning on seeing "Sex & The City" sometime this coming weekend, and since DR elmore had mentioned that he had purchased a ticket for the 10:00am showing this Friday, I went ahead and headed down to the 84th Street Lowe's and purchased a ticket for myself too!  See you there, DR elmore!  -And maybe we can have some Cosmos afterwards. ;)

*I was very surprised to see that this theatre still had "Matinee Pricing". At first I had thought I had hit the "Children's Ticket" button, but after double-checking, it turned out my ticket was indeed only $6.00!  -Rather than $11.00.  :)

...And then I did that...

I had to take care of some banking, and did so after purchasing my movie ticket.  Then since it was lunch-time, I headed over to Chirping Chicken for a Grilled Chicken Greek Salad.  Very filling, and very YUM!

*And, next time, if the same group of UPS drivers double-park their trucks on Amsterdam while eating their lunch, well... I may have to make a phone call or two.  -Not that that would do anything, but one never knows, do one?

I think they would mention him when he shows up onscreen....I forget his name.  :P

DR Jrand - I haven't seen the football player yet.  Last week's auditions were held in Los Angeles.  They hit the midwest and south this week, so maybe he'll show up tonight or tomorrow - if he showed up in the first place.

After lunch, I headed back into Central Park for a post-lunch Nature Break, as well as to almost-complete today's NY Times' Crossword Puzzle.  -Who knew that a metric volume measurement was a "STERE"?!?!?

For those who were following along with my post about a certain record producer who's been posting under an alias on a theater chat board, tub-thumping his own albums while tearing down other people's cast albums, like Xanadu, and leaving rather nasty posts about yours truly - all nasty postings about me have been removed from the board.  And they're now on to him, and aren't so thrilled that he's been knocking other people's work, as that's a little self-serving and wrong.

...And speaking of Xanadu...

After solving all but nine(!) clues in today's crossword, I headed on down to Times Square to the Helen Hayes Theatre - where Xanadu is currently playing - to hear Cubby Bernstein give his Tony Prediction Speech.  :)

They were also selling "Cub-Cakes" as well as some Cubby Bernstein memorabilia - with the proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.  Needless to say, I had to support the cause, and enjoyed a chocolate cupcake in the process.  :)

*I also stopped into Virgin to pick up the new OCR of South Pacific, and while I was there I realized that they were playing selections from Kerry Butler's new CD.  -And they were interviewing her in-store too.  There was supposed to be some sort of CD-signing, but the store didn't have their usual CD-signing set-up set up.  However, I did run into Ms. Butler as well as the Birthday Boy's son, Craig, back at the theatre afterwards.

I don't know, which one is he?

They don't show all of the auditions. And we only saw the first episode of auditions so far.

He would be the one in the football jersey with the shoulder pads!

There's a nice article/profile of actor, Daniel Evans, who's currently starring the revival of Sunday in the Park With George in today's Times.  And it's accompanied by a sooooo cute picture of Mr. Evans too.  :)

He made many fine films - I do love Tootsie and Three Days Of The Condor - those are probably my favorites.

I would have to say THE WAY WE WERE.
