Wednesday morning greetings! It's NOT a beautiful day for driving to Cleveland. My departure is somewhat delayed as I'm letting a line of storms pass through before I leave.

I don't know why the sirens sounded late last night. The TV didn't indicate anything severe nearby, so I just went to bed. Slept OK, but didn't get up as early as I'd intended. Fortunately, I have all day to get to Cleveland - just have to be in my hotel lobby at 5:30pm for the field trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

We lived on NE Halsey, near Rose City Park. I was only 2 and a half when my dad was transferred, so don't remember much. I've only been back to Portland once, when I was 9. My husband and I were just talking the other day about someday taking a driving vacation to the Pacific Northwest.

I know exactly where that is. I have pretty much lived here all my life. I was kind of the same way. Born in Sacramento, CA, but left before 2 years old so only remember the color of the carpet...white!

Oh, you should! It is so beautiful here! I go to visit other places, which hasn't been much but I did get to go to Thailand about 1 1/2 years ago and was so happy to get home where it was green!

Good morning, all! I'm sleepng too late these days and that pisses me off. Today, more Brain surgery, the 42nd Street NYPL, and then a party to celebrate the release of a friend's first CD. I'm quite excited about it.

Beyond that, I have little to report. My wonderful sister-in-law Jo has joined MySpace to promote her beautiful quilting work, and since joining, she's become a computer wiz. She's now invaded my MySpace pages to redo them and I think she's doing an amazing job. Every other day when I check on them, she's gone crazy and done something to them. She's so great. I'm thinking about buying a bunch of current Broadway logo t-shirts and having her make a Broadway quilt that I could advertise for her. Her craftsmanship is quite wonderful.

So, more Brain surgery awaits.

Bruce, my friend:

I totally disagree with you about RAWHIDE. I've seen it a few times. It's quite suspenseful, has some interesting characters and surprising plot twists. Tyrone Power may not have been the ideal choice for a western, but he's supposed to be a "dude" in this picture, which explains his actions or lack thereof.

But, that's just my opinion.

I'm sure the A/C will come on today. It's going up to 93 this afternoon, and there is just no way to keep the house endurably cool. Well, June 4th isn't too bad to turn on the A/C.

I think it just takes time for people to stop. We have had the law here for a few months. Well there was a 3 month warning period. And i still saw people using their phones while driving. But i see less and less people each day.

I plan right now to continue with HAWAII FIVE-O all afternoon and evening. I will probably watch an NCIS season 1 episode while I eat lunch, but otherwise, I'll be with Steve and Danno for most of the day.

At 10 tonight, I will watch IN PLAIN SIGHT recorded from Sunday night's premiere broadcast. It got very good ratngs, so unless it plummets in subsequent airings, looks like it'll be another hit for USA.
