TOD:

I think the one movie that made me fall in love, head over heels, with the movies is the one movie that fascinated me in a movie theater more than any I had seen up until that time.

That movie is King Vidor's "War and Peace." I was 8 years old when I saw it, and I had never seen anything quite so wonderful. I loved it far more than I had enjoyed "The Ten Commandments" or "Anastasia." Those three films are my earliest memories of going to the theater to see a film.

And, Yes! It still fascinates me and probably resonates on a higher level because I feel it's so significant a totem of what excited me about movies.

Ron - at this point Eunice has her song (now called something else) - it's not the same song that was cut from the film - I tried that one - rewrote the lyrics I didn't care for, but it just wasn't working, so I came up with a new one - and I'm not sure that one is working either, although a couple of the lyrics got nice laughs last night - it's something I'm going to leave and see how it plays, but I'll probably have a alternative ready to go.

Just a quick note as I have to get back to work, but WELCOME to Mark! And I found out that I do have a week's worth of vacation that I will be paid for when I leave this job and I do have 16 hours of PTO I can take before I leave as well. So that's good, then my tax check should be coming soon too, so I guess I'm okay for awhile. Ta, ta for now!
