Hmm, Richard just informed me that he's never liked Gypsy.  We've been married 27 years and I never knew that.

Oh......well......isn't it interesting the things you discover as time goes by?  ;D

Yeah Whoopi!  I think the show went well and was more entertaining than a lot of award shows. It was nice to see so many shows get at least some sort of mention.  I

Now I want to see the best musical.

Well... I suggest going to Telecharge right now and buying the $31.50 cheap seats.

*Although, they're also selling obstructed view - which isn't that obstructed - at the box office.

**Of course, I'm wondering if that "obstructed view pricing" will disappear come morning. Hmm...

BK's question about the teen screamers was answered as soon as Idina opened her mouth.

Now, the news...2 brothers drowning in a nearby lake.

I wish someone was broadcasting a rerun so I could see the beginning of the Tonys.

At least it was followed by an upbeat story about all the weddings coming up in CA!

Ask your husband where he saw GYPSY. If it was a community production, that might explain a lot. If I'd seen the Bride of Zorro production of OKLAHOMA! first, I'd think it was a bag of crap, too!

Of the 14 Tony awards presented during the CBS broadcast, I predicted 10.  I credit HHW with keeping me informed about what's going on in that environment.

The only time we've seen it together was Summer Youth Theatre and the acting was awful.  We just got the fundraising letter for this year's production - Children of Eden.

I missed my predictions by TWO - I thought for sure there would be an upset in Lead actress in a musical, but, someone other than my prediction won. . .

Do you want a DVD copy??  I'm recording it and TCB is already getting a copy.

"Come see any of the shows"...

If they're still playing!

Yep, it's going to be an interesting week for closing notices.  -And since it does appear that the rising cost of gasoline and plane tickets has affected the advance sales - and hotel bookings - here in NYC this summer, well... -I mean, A Chorus Line will be closing August 17.  Mario Lopez's contract was originally through the beginning of September.

And already scheduled to close within the next couple of weeks:  Sunday in the Park with George, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Curtains, Les Liaisons Dangeureuses (I don't think it has a chance of extending), November, Thurgood, The Country Girl, Top Girls...... Well, let the summer doldrums begin.

I've wanted to see this year's Best Musical winner since I heard the demo tape.  Of the nominees, I still don't 'get' the Stew show, even after the demo and the original cast albums. . . .
