And the word of the day is: CHOLER!

You may have one from CHOLER-A and one from CHOLER-B.

Didn't Dillingham produce the show that Don was in that was going to star Hannah Brown in EASTER PARADE?

I know somebody was going into a Dillingham show....maybe it was Anne Miller....

A bit slow this morning.....a rush when we opened and now crickets.

Hopefully it will improve as the morning proceeds.

July, 1958 - was Frances in Bucks County this time fifty years ago?  Or was she filming THE PARTY CRASHERS?

I hate people who think the TURN SIGNAL is an optional device.  We have a very confusing intersection near our house and it drives me NUTS when people don't use their signal because people going the other way stop in the middle of the intersection until they can figure out what the IDIOT is going to do.  :)

Did anyone else post that the DD sale has been extended to 6/29?  What comes out on Tuesday (other than Singdaw)?

I am playing what is evidently the "big" Bar Mitzvah of the year this afternoon.  Probably around 500 people expected, probably none of whom are worth less than several million.  Do you think a tip jar would be unseemly?  ;)

No, Ann was going into the Ziegfeld Follies, so it must have been Fred and Judy. I haven't watched EASTER PARADE in a long time, so maybe I should check it out again soon.

That's the first I've heard about the extension. Thanks for telling us! I had put some things off, and now I might just get them.

TOD:   Ach!

I'm gonna say the biggest pet peeves are cell phones -- in the hands of drivers who totally cannot remember why they are behind the wheels of their cars; in the hands of shoppers who suddenly stop dead in the middle of a store aisle with no regard for other shoppers; in the hands of anyone in an elevator who believes everyone is supposed to "shush" just because of the cell phone conversation; etc., etc., etc.

I believe the federal government should pass laws requiring people desiring to stand up, walk and be in public while using a cell  phone to attain a  license proving they can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Another pet peeve involving telephones: People who can carry on a face-to-face conversation in a normal tone of voice, but when on the phone speak as though making sure everyone within a 500-yard radius can hear him or her.

*Dog owners who won't keep their dogs on leashes.
*Dog owners who don't clean up their dog's feces while out on a walk.
*Pretentious people.
*Ministers who insist on being called Dr., even though they got their degrees at diploma mills (I guess this falls under the above category).

No, Ann was going into the Ziegfeld Follies, so it must have been Fred and Judy. I haven't watched EASTER PARADE in a long time, so maybe I should check it out again soon.

Fred and Judy auditioned for Ziegfeld and were told they were hired.  After the audition, Ann Miller sashayed down the aisle and addressed the pair saying she was glad "he" was going to be in "her" new show.  Judy got very upset and left.

Later, Fred turns up saying he's turned down the Ziegfeld job...that Judy was "too good" for Ziegfeld...and that Dillingham had offered them a show.  I believe that's the show they are in near the end of the film.

I'll go you one further....people who forward e-mails that you have to keep clicking and opening, clicking and opening, clicking and opening just to get to the original e-mail.  Oof.

It's 73 degrees in my bedroom thanks to my portable AC unit.

It's 84 degrees in the rest of the condo thanks to the lack of any breeze and this damnable heat wave.

No, he was front and center on the stage. Well, the earthly part of him, anyway.

And that leads me to another one...
