And instead of McD's tonight, I'll be joining the cast for some sushi.  -And I guess I should head down to the lobby now.

Richard Simmons, not the excercise guru (as mentioned earlier), but the actor who starred as TVs SERGEANT PRESTON OF THE YUKON.

DR Jennifer - While I might not word it as strongly as does DR elmore3003 (bless his heart), I agree with him and would be shooting you eye daggers in that grocery line.

It is interesting how we all develop different perceptions of things.

I would just tell you to get out of the express lane. I've done it before and I'll do it again

And the people you tell this to...don't they get hostile, confrontational, and abusive?  Or tell you it's none of your damned business?

I tell you, the sense of [inappropriate] entitlement and selfishness in public discourse just makes me sick.

Just yesterday, at TPunk's production of Guys & Dolls, there was a couple sitting directly behind DR Ben and DP Ant who had mistakenly purchased tickets for the previous weekend.  There were in the right seats, but on the wrong date.  And they were rude and belligerant and refused to give up the seats, even though the people that legitimately had those seats for the performance were waiting to be seated.  And they refused an alternate accommodation because the seats being offered were farther away from the stage.  And as a result of this kerfuffle, the rest of the audience was forced to endure a 15 minute delay in the start of the performance.  But these people didn't care one jot.  It's "me first!"

And then just today, I saw a pedestrian start crossing into an intersection, AGAINST a "Do Not Walk" sign.  When a driver almost hit him, he started screaming at the driver, pointing out that HE was in a CROSS WALK.  This guy was in his 50's...old enough to know better.  Yeah, I know, pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way, but that doesn't make them always right.

Okay, it's not Wednesday, but I have a question...and it's an actual reference question from an actual reference librarian who hasn't been able to find the answer for a patron.  Jay (the aforementioned actual reference librarian) knows that I know musicals and thought I might know where this lyric comes from, but I don't.  Anyway, what the patron remembers is:

"When you're in love, it's Grand Central Station."

or,

"It's Grand Central Station when you're in love."

Does this (or any variation of it) sound familiar to anyone??

Please let me know (if you know) and I'll pass on the information to Jay, the actual (and paid for it) reference librarian.

Thank you...you may now return to your regular HHW postings. ;D

I've only done it when there was a line at the express lane, so when I say something..."Excuse me, but this is the express lane"  then everyone else does the stare, like "are you moving?" look.  If they didn't move, I don't think I'd take it farther, so far I haven't had to find out
