PROCRASTINATING
« on: June 24, 2008, 12:15:00 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes did not procrastinate, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they've been procrastinating since the year 1.

For Singbride:

PRESS TELEGRAM

Quote
Marriage marathon in West Hollywood

The gay wedding boom is also good for business. Tom Rosa, owner of the Cake And Art bakery in West Hollywood, which specializes in custom-designed cakes, said business has tripled in the last week, and on one day he did as many consultations as he usually does in a month.

Rainbow-colored cakes are popular, but some couples are wild for a silver-studded all black cake, said Rosa, who baked four cakes for same-sex couples marrying at West Hollywood Park.

Perhaps bk should consider setting aside as a topic of the day: THE WEDDING PLANS

Posters would be invited to contribute their suggestions as to:

Processional
Designer ideas  for Singdaw
Designer ideas for Singdaw's "other"
Suggestions for the ceremony
Guest Wedding soloist and number?
Who should offer a few words from our sponsor?
Recessional
Reception thoughts?
Honeymoon ideas?

der Brucer

My nomination for guest soloist will be Barbara Cook singing "Glitter and Be Gay"

Good morning, all! I'm off to Toyland for another round of edits and a discussion of the Volume Two layout. Dependng on whether a check arrives in today's mail, I am debating telling a client that I will be doing no more work for him.  After a week of "the check's in the mail" - and it's now eleven days of it - I'm not sure if the deception's coming from the client or his accountant, but I'm in a tight financial bind until this check arrives, and much as I like working, I don't need tsuris from anyone.

A question for Broadway musical experts:

Was there never a Original Broadway Cast recording of MISS SAIGON?  I find the London Cast recordings and a 1995 Studio Cast recording, but nothing about Broadway.

Political movies?

I, too, love THE BEST MAN.  I wish they'd put it out on DVD.

Also like ALL THE KING'S MEN (with my late friend Broderick Crawford), BULWORTH and THE CANDIDATE.
