I think we may need to have a run-off between DRs Ron Pulliam and FJL...
And the run-off will contain a lot of fertilizer!

Back from the Farmer's Market.

We snagged some great looking tomatoes, which will go great with the steak and fries I'm cooking up tonight.

Zucchini.  I do enjoy zucchini.

And some beets and potatoes, both Peruvian purples and banana fingerlings.  They should be good roasted together, maybe with some carrots added and dressed nicely.

Cool!  I'd heard that RTD was not going to be with the show anymore.  I just hope that it at least stays as good as it's been.
Technically, RTD will still be with Who thru 2009, but it's not being done as a series next year.  Instead, we will be seeing three, maybe four specials, including the annual Christmas special.  This is due to Tennant having theater commitments to keep, including playing Hamlet.

Beginning in 2010, the series will be helmed by Steven Moffat, whose Who track record is pretty good.  He's written "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances", "The Girl in the Fireplace", "Blink" (and wow, has that one won awards hand over fist!), and the current "Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead".

Back to the Cleopatra couch to await the phone call that will tell me today's INR score and Coumadin dosage.

Isn't my life exciting?

When I got into my car this morning a large, huge spider scamperd from the passenger seat to the floor. He is still wandering around inside my car. I am not pleased.

I probably would have called 911!  :-[

It has been a SUCKY morning.

I'm having a sucky week. The quandary is, do I tell this singer who told me on Friday the 13th that the check should arrive in the next week and told me on Friday the 20th the check had been mailed - although it curiously hasn't arrived yet - that I will never do any more work for him, or do I let it slide?

I'm so excited!  I get to see Avenue Q this Sunday!  I've been dying to see it.  If I would have known at the time I would be going to NYC this year, I would have waited to see it there.  Oh, well!

Lunch started very late, ran long, and ended very late. And when I got home, there was another review copy in the mail for me: SUPERHERO MOVIE.

As long as the plumbing isn't backed up, I see no need for a run-off.....

Tell him you can't afford to proceed with anything else because you have PAYING customers you must satisfy.

Sounds somewhat similar to the handling of the new TORCHWOODs. It won't be a normal 13 episode season but rather a 5-episode miniseries which may bring the series to a close (that hasn't been decided yet).

I did have time this afternoon to watch two of the remaining four episodes of MAD MEN. But no time to watch the bonus feature on disc 3 and no time to do more than sample the commentaries.

None of the green ones are brussels sprouts, though...are they?

You never know when they infiltrate and mess with folks knowing what they're about.
