That photograph of Colin Farrell just about sums up everything I hate about today's actors and the people who emulate their looks.  If that's appealing, well, I just don't know what.

I totally forgot that she of the Evil Eye was coming today instead of tomorrow.  So, I must do some things and then leave for a couple of hours.

I'm posting live from Panera.  Nobody's here, which is surprising.  Perhaps they've all moved on to another Internet cafe.

re: dexter season 3

It'll likely start in January, but still, it's a long wait!  :(

Well who knows when it will start here! (we are obviously behind).

Plus it's only if my sister records it for me.

They showed season 1 on ctv. But season 2 only aired on the movie network which i don't get.

She didn't mind recording it now because she didn't have anything else on to watch.

I see another side of this:  Farrell was at the beach with his son.  They were playing and having a good time.  This was not a PR opportunity.  It was just father and son (and a friend) having recreational fun.  And, as usual, a paparazzi turns up and starts snapping photographs.

I don't know about anyone else here, but if someone is going to snap my photo, I'm going to need prep time!  This is more a problem with invasive photographers than it is with a celebrity looking bad in a public place.  If you are rolling around in the surf and sand with your kid, you should never have to worry about your "public", IMO.

An inflated $.02 worth!   ;D

Last night, I gushed with excitement over winning an auction for $10.  It was a lot of 5 lobby cards from the movie "Sailor of the King" which starred Jeffrey Hunter.  One of the lobby cards -- of Hunter on a cliff overlooking a ship and the sea --  has turned up, from time to time, on EBay.  And each time I bid what I considered a "fair price" ($20-$25) via e-snipe, I'd later discovered others had far grander values ($35-$50) in mind for it.

So...without further ado....this is "that" card  which I, essentially, paid $2 for (5 lcs X $2 = $10):

I won't break down "per card" values on the following cards, but these are some of the ones I won:

Okay, I'm depressed for 2 reasons:  The job I thought I got I'm not sure if I did.  The agency had not submitted my resume to the job place yet and since I don't have any mortgage background, they possibly may not except me.  Also, I just watched an episode of MEDIUM only to discover it was a "To Be Continued" episode and don't have the 2nd part!  Argh!  It was Partners in Crime with Anjelica Huston and was really good.  I suppose no one would have it, would they?

Bear in mind that all those musical photos are originals and are from the 1940s, so the borders won't be nice and white.  Also, they are "used" insomuch as they were displayed, at one time, in theaters.  They are all in very good condition.
