I'm not anti everything "Chick" Cilla.  Hence I thought I'd  better give you an idea.
I avoid most Tom Hanks movies.  (To me he is aone dimensional actor)  and
Oscar winner "Crash" is one of the worst movies I have sat through!  ("21 Grams" and "Magnolia" were so much better as was "Babel")

I agree completely on "Crash".  Just didn't get why people liked is so much.  Of course I think it was better than "Magnolia" which I really hated. But, I don't like much of anything Tom Cruise is in.   I did like "21 Grams"

Ok, I get it, you aren't anti-chick, you just like what you like and don't like what you don't like.   Works for me  ;D

Which would you rather see - Raymond Burr's Perry Mason or Raymond Burr's bum?

I would hope to NEVER have to make that choice....but if forced, I would say Ray's Perry Mason-ite.  ;D

As Irving Berlin - the voice of American music would say:

She certainly can.

If I could get a call through once in awhile - my life wouldn't be so drab.

How's the crossword puzzle going, DR CILLA LIZ?

Every time DR FJL posts about LOVER COME BACK, I can't help but thinking of Doris Day's IMPECCABLE comic delivery of SO many lines.......

Where does that talent come from?

Are you attempting to contact "the other side" DR JRand.

At least you have your Quilt.

It is a balmy 97 degrees in Salem, Oregon.

It is an obnoxiously 98 degrees here in Portland, Oregon!  I haven't been outside...do not have the desire to roast!

DR CillaLiz  - check with RLP!
I loath "Beaches" and "Steel Magnolias" too.

I've not seen either of the Blonde movies! The musical was just so dreadful! (Well so not to my taste).
I doubt I will care for "Hairspray" either. (The original movie is fine).  Same with "Millie" - fun movie but so pointless as a vehicle for the stage.

I don't care for the movie THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE at all, inspite of a wonderful cast.  I think the story really came into its own as a Broadway musical.  I would go see the stage musical any time.

Well, Tom, at least we both liked GODS AND MONSTERS!

A story about the Matt Ashford movie making for DakotaCelt http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/articles/2008/06/26/news/top/1fecb9c945b0ac6e86257473007a4341.txt

Thanks Cilla!!!

I was chatting with my cousin last night. Her hubby is distantly related to Loren DeJong and they went to the filming and were extras.  Of course, they wore blue!

I have a lot of rellies on my grandmother's side who are from Des Moines, Council Bluffs and around Bridgewater.

If I had never met FJL, I would swear that he has to sit with a team of comedy writers (Bruce Villanch, anyone?) to come up with these lines.  But having met the man, I will just say he is amazing that way.

Back from my adventure in the family room.  It was nice to have a different view and a different chair to sit in for a while.  Richard pushed me up the steps a few minutes ago and I'm now back in my haven.

LOL!

We're actually using the same maneuvers that he and his mother used to use to get her and her walker up the 2 steps from the garage into the family room and then the 2 steps from the family room into the kitchen (main level of the house).
