Time for a break! I just checked my files: this is my fifth round of "Night and Day." My first was a choral arrangement for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, the second the orchestration for Rebecca Luker's album, the third for Kevin Spirtas, the fourth for Ron Raines, and now Miss Criswell's. I don't believe there's any other song that I arranged more than twice.

Regarding the movie discussions yesterday, I really enjoyed CRASH. It played very much like an old made-for-tv movie, but maybe that is what I enjoyed about it.

I feel like crapola today...I don't know if it is allergies or some kind of summer flu/cold, but my throat is all swollen and sore and I am very tired.

Thankfully, it will not be as hot today. It got up to 100 yesterday. It is supposed to be around 90 today. That should be Ok.

Due to the influence of BK's viewing habits, I watched two episodes of Perry Mason, both from season 1. I just love all of the wonderful guest stars.

I have been a fan of this show since I was a teenager. I would actually skip school just to stay home and watch episodes that had my favorite B movie stars as guests (this was back when TV guide listed such things).

Finished watching Open House, which I realized I'd seen before.  That's enough victim chick flicks for a while.

DR MBarnum - maybe you need to spend the afternoon in some air conditioning.  Hope you feel better!

Today continues with burning and clearing stuff off the DVR.

In another room, at the same time, I shall be working on a long overdue project for DR elmore3003.

I shall also try to squeeze in a nap, and finish reading August: Osage County.

DR ELMORE I saw Miss Hayley Mills in the tour, and the just idea of seeing her made everything else okay...even though there were some unusual things in that show.....and now I have to try to remember who played The King....because he was pretty good, too.

Having a lull here at World of Wisdom for a moment.

Sounds like DR GINNY is surviving.....hopefully the Nubians have stocked up on grapes.

DR CILLA LIZ that's pretty horrible about your neighbor's cat....and I think you have found a good solution.

I'm a Hired Man virgin!     8)

I suspect that somewhere in Elmores VCR collection is a copy of "The Deflowering of the Hired Man".

Sigh...another Tony nominee stranded in the dark.

All in all, today I'd rather be in Anaheim - attending the American Library Association annual conference.

Back from a jog.  My legs were really sore from yesterday's full jog, so today I did a mile and three quarters and then walked briskly the rest of the way.  I must go collapse now.

I am working on my murder trial.  There isn't as much to do today as I thought there was, which is a good thing, but I just can't get into doing it. I know pretty much what I"m going to say, so I suppose I could take a break and get to it later this afternoon.

It's a nice day here, cool and windy.  I think after today it's supposed to get hot again, but for today I have the windows open and the girls are loving it

Hope some of that open-window weather is heading our way.  We've had the house closed up with the AC on all week and I'm ready for some fresh air.

I do not get the weather here lately!! One minute it's warm happy sunshine, the next it's raining hard enough to make me consider building an ark.
