We have our Thanksgiving parade in the autumn when it is cooler.

And suddenly, der Brucer gets caught on film!

Over at the Rehoboth Beach Farmer's Market website, scroll on down to the big picture.  Yep, that's him, walking towards the camera on the right hand side of the pic.

I'm not in the picture.  Obviously, I was busy shopping.

PORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY - isn't that a name of an actual adult film?

A friend whose birthday is July 4th had gotten so used to her birthday always being a day off from work.  But then she moved to the U.K. for a while, and found out that she had to work on her birthday for the first time because they didn't consider July 4th a holiday there.

I am leaving in less than an hour to attend a yearly Fourth Party and / or Barbecue.  This year apparently the barbecue portion has been scrapped as she is serving a Mexican theme, i.e. tacos.

She will also be serving ham as she has asked me to read aloud portions of the Declaration of Independence, as well as a selection from Thom Hartmann's book WHAT WOULD JEFFERSON DO?

I'm leaving also, but right now.  I need to take a shower, get dressed then move things out of the way in my living room downstairs because my sister and dad are coming over to take away the little couch that my sister gave me...she wants it back. :P

Actually, I don't mind giving up the couch. ;) I like it, but I didn't specifically choose it.  I've seen a couple of other couch/love seats that I think I like better.  AND since it'll be out of the way, I'll have more room to clean up.  My aunts (my dad's two sisters) are arriving tomorrow for a two-week visit from California and eventually they'll want to see my place.  I've got a couple of weeks before they leave, but I've known for a couple of months that they were coming.

That's me...the King of Procrastinators! ;D

Regarding DR singdaw and his avatar:

I  will attest only to the fact that I had no trouble identifying him as I walked up the street toward his hotel.

I was a bit taken aback that he looked at me and said, "Ron?"

As if I'd changed one bit from my avatar taken 31 years ago!!!!

That said, David and Jayson are TALL men!  I'm 6  feet, so I'm guessing they're in the 6'3" to 6'5" area code!  :D

Ron - Since I've met singdaw a number of times in the past couple of years (almost two decades since my Ron-Pulliam-look-alike avatar was taken), I'd imagine he identified you by looking for someone who looked like me.

And I absolutely deny forcing singdaw to spend one dime.

It's simply a matter of my shopping habits being contagious.

That's MY story, and I'm sticking to it!

After reading singdaw's account of their afternoon/evening, I have to say those boys HAD to be tuckered out.  I nearly suffered a relapse just reading it.  I slept in this morning.  In fact, I had to shame myself out of bed at 10 a.m.

I've been catching up on e-mails and posting hither, thither and yon (HHW is "hither"), and now I'm seriously in need of sustenance (I've had a cup of coffee today and that's all).  It's time for some carbs...in  the form of spaghetti and meat sauce (prepared earlier in the week and frozen).

Play safely, one and all!

Ciao-ders for now-ders!
