Der Brucer and I have been to Cincinnati.  We have eaten in Cincinnati.  Our luck was, shall we say, unfortunate.

That anyone would proudly proclaim to be a restaurateur in Cincinnati boggles.  Yes, it boggles.

Actually, that pic of the salad with the cucumber slice wrapped around it looks mighty nice.  (I do love me some good food porn.   ;D)

But Beer Can Chicken at $22.95?   :o  And they probably don't let you keep the beer can!

I do hope they put the kritzerland link in that review.  It would be most annoying if they didn't, because however would people know to order it, other than perhaps going to footlight.com.  If they google it they'll find us.  We have had about twenty orders in the last few days - maybe it's because of the review - early copies of the mag or something.

Just got an e-mail from Merissa saying she's done and where should we meet.  She must be sending from her phone or something.  I responded, but why wouldn't she just call?  Weird.  Guess I'll just wait for a response.

My latest issue of The Sondheim Review arrived while I was away, and it contains a nice, full-page review of bk's Evening Primrose release.

That should net bk at least a few fresh orders!   :)

I totally forgot that I got this also!  I hope that I can find it. :-\

Thanks all for the understanding, elmore, I'd be honored to be your sister.  My brother called this morning just as I was leaving to go to work to see if there was any damage from the tornado last night. He hadn't read his email so I had to have the whole discussion with him before I left for work.  It really threw my morning off and right now I can't decide if I should get to work or go see Wall-E and get my mind off of everything for awhile.

Off to have a breakfast with Merissa, after which I shall return.  Going to Hugo's nearby - they have excellent eggs and such, and I will definitely try to be strong and forego the potatoes and bread.  If I can do that, it will be fairly low-cal and then I'll jog later today.

I'm very frustrated with certain members of my family right now.   There was a party that was a surprise party for my dad's birthday, only I was told it was just a solstice party.  Since I'm busy and it requires spending the night, paying a cat sitter etc, I didn't go.   I found out over the weekend that the other guests received handwritten invitations to a surprise party for my dad.  So, I wasn't at my dad's birthday party.

I was surprised after the party that I received emails from some other people who were there telling me I was missed etc.  Saying I'm upset is really putting it mildly.   It's the last straw for me and I was able to tell my brother that this morning.

He said it was a last minute thing....Right, and that's why everyone else got hand written invitations in advance and I got an email 2 days before.

I really don't need this kind of aggravation right now.

That's terrible, Cilla! :(

Now, let's see...

There was the banquet dinner at the hotel where the convention was being held.  Salmon and steak, both on the same plate, both tepid and bland.

I remember going to a diner at some mall, where the mac and cheese had no flavor at all.

There was a Spanish restaurant where a bunch of us went the night after the convention.  Again, bland.

And der B and I did try some chile.  But it wasn't at a Skyline, which was probably the big mistake.

I'm certain that there are good places to eat in Cincinnati, but der B and I managed to miss each and every one!   :'(
