I began by finishing Kathy Griffin's MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST from last week. She conducted the wedding and had her gig at Madison Square Garden. Some funny stuff. Poor Tom is the butt of so many of her jokes.

Then, I watched last night's BONES episode. It was a good episode, but knowing how all the stuff about Gormogon ends by the end of the season, it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth watching it.

Then I watched STEP UP 2 THE STREETS on Blu-ray. Just another variation of "let's put on a show" only with hip-hop/street dance instead of swing as Judy and Mickey did it.

The story took place at MSA (Maryland School of the Arts - a high school of the performing arts in Baltimore). Is there such a place in Baltimore?

I also watched the 8 deleted scenes from the film which included two complete hip-hop numbers which were merely excerpted in the film. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way with me, even though I recognize the tremendous athletic ability that is required to perform it.

I found a couple of Easter Eggs on the Blu-ray while I was negotiating the menus. I'm usually awful about finding these things on DVDs, but I found the ones on NATIONAL TREASURE; BOOK OF SECRETS and this one fairly easily.

He does seem to be a good sport about it. I wonder if that was part of his job description when she hired him, and he had an idea of what he was getting into...or actually any of her assistants.

Oh, sure. He seems to have a good sense of the absurd about his duties for Kathy and takes it all with good humor. Since he's stuck around for awhile now, I'd say he must like the job.

I forgot to mention what that review disc was that got delivered this morning: it was indeed from Paramount, the Martin Scorsese documentary on the Rolling Stones concert SHINE A LIGHT. It doesn't come out until the end of July, so it went to the bottom of the review pile.

I probably have about a half hour to an hour of bonus stuff left to watch on STEP UP 2 THE STREETS.

Then, I'll have the evening free for my own viewing choices. I know I want to see the next CLOSER episode in the set (disc 3). I may also be able to fit in a movie of some kind. I'll check the running times and see what's there that I can squeeze into the evening.

I thoroughly agree. I cannot think of a more egregious story arc/disposition of a major character than the one "Bones" perpetrated upon its viewers with this Gormogon thing. It's all right in the long run, as I will look forward to new shows, but it has forever soured that character for me and I no longer enjoy any of the scenes in past episodes with the character.

I LOVED Vacation Bible School. It was a nice break, for one week, in the summer when I could catch up with other kids. Even though I saw them every Sunday it wasn't the same as being around 'em all day and doing all those "fun" things. I can't tell you how many fantastic "crafts" I made during those VBS summers. I "could" tell you if my folks had ever saved any of them...but they didn't...and now I can't.
