I'm having an eBay row with a seller.
I've been taken to task over not paying for one of two items purchased July 10.
EBay has told me I must resolve this before July 31 or naughty things will be done to me.
As it happens, I paid for both items on July 11. They both appear in my PayPal records as having been paid.
"My EBay" shows one of the items as being credited (i.e., seller left me feedback thanking me for my fast payment...on the ONE item). He did not, however, mark the other item as being paid even though the amount of money he accepted via PayPal covered "both."
When I got the notice via e-mail last night, I was immediately flustered. How could I have done that, I wondered? I don't make mistakes like this. I thought that age might be compromising my abilities to function on the internet.
So what did I do? Why, I followed the links and PAID for the two items. AGAIN, as it turns out.
I have provided every bit of documentation I can to seller who remains totally silent. I did, however, get acknowledgement from PayPal that my payment had been "received."
I trust that the seller, whose feedback record is 100% positive, will do the right thing and return the superfluous payment to my PayPal account.
I guess I'm a bit like BK when it comes to foulups. I want things to be put right. I hate delays. I hate non-responsiveness.
