What a strange day.

This is the first time I've been able to get HainesHisWay up on my computer....and to get this far, I had to backdoor things by going through my "History" and clicking on a link from yesterday.

Odd, odd, odd.

I'm back from a very strange Fringe show; I didn't like it much although the music was fun. It was rather sophomoric in a campy Yale Drama School fashion: anti-Catholic, men in drag playing lesbians, child abuse, pedophilia, prostitution, and lots of lines like  "a woman has only two things: dreams and a c**t; and only one of them makes money."

I kept wondering why my friends wanted to write music for it.

I hated last year's Fringe show that Lauren and Cason did, and I still think both these pieces made my Favorite Frnge show FOR THE LOVE OF TIFFANY look like MY FAIR LADY.

TOTD:  Sebastian Snow's "My Amazon Adventure" is the first non children's book I remember reading at about 12 years of age.  I read any of the novels by Dennis Wheatley in my younger teen years too. It is thanks to those novels that I learned much about mythology and history.

I also read Peyton Place!

No one should have a problem posting or reading notes now.  You may have to clear your cache, and, if like me you saved it as a favorite long ago, you may have to resave it using the proper haineshisway.com for the notes, or haineshisway.com/community for the board.  The Unseemly Button now works fine and all should be well.  If anyone is experiencing any difficulties, let me know asap.

DR's Michael & Larry watching the same show.  It's not just the "button" that is going awry.

Hmmmm...I emptied the cache, cleared the history and can read the notes, parts 1 and 2, but when I try to go to discussions, the wheel just spins...

Thankfully, Ben forwarded a link from Jose which enabled me to get here.

TOD: Gone With The Wind. I read it when I was in Jr. High School and lived in Virginia. I especially remember the scene where Rhett carries Scarlett up the stairs---that seemed very "adult" to me at the time!

Did you try to go to the notes via the second page?  If so, that may be the problem.

Ah, I thought I'd checked every page, but I hadn't checked the link at the end of the second page of notes, the link here.  I've e-mailed Bakalor so he can fix that, but in the meantime all you have to do is use haineshisway.com/community - then bookmark that and you'll never have a problem.

My usual link is through the discussions - and then back to the Notes.  I'm Australian remember.

I suppose some people will get the wrong idea (I hope), but td, I prefer you out of the dress.

Perhaps the "button" problem has existed for longer in the NW. That old fisherman with the cats doesn't post any more.

I can't access the discussions via the second page of notes.

See the post above yours.  I explain this - that's the one thing I hadn't tried (the link here from the second page of notes) and I've alerted Bakalor that he has to fix that one, too, and I'm sure he will by this evening.  BUTT - why has no one saved the discussion board as a favorite???  Of course, if you saved it AFTER using the button on the second page of notes (prior to yesterday) you're going to have to resave it as a favorite - so, once again, you can ALWAYS get to the board by typing in

haineshisway.com/community

Then save it as a favorite.

The Unseemly Button and the link at the bottom of page two's notes were the ONLY problems on the site, as they were never supposed to use an ip address in the link - but somehow they did.  All the other pages on the site and on the board don't, so that's why they work fine.
