Imagine, if you will. a producer saying the following in emails to fifteen different directors, or pianists, or lighting designers, or costume designers, orchoreographers, or music directors:

"So, here's where you come in!  I would love nothing more than to work
with you on this project."

DR FJL - I had no idea.  I just got a call and/or e-mail or two, and since I was available...

Jose - Nothing to do with you, of course, or anyone besides Wilson himself.

And he seems proud of how he went about this process.  In an interview with ny1, he said:

“I actually got the idea back in November and sent a mass e-mail to about 15 composers that I had in mind for the show and surprisingly half of them wrote back and said that they were interested - and from there I got other writers on board,” said Wilson. “For example, the writer of ÎHigh School Musical’ and ÎHigh School Musical 2’ is actually going to do an episode in the summer.”

Kerry, why are there all those straight people in your hallway?

Well they're hanging straight anyway (for the moment).  Ahem.  Jason Graae, however, keeps inching toward George Nader.   John Gielgud inches toward Tab Hunter, too.  And I inch toward Guy Madison.  Who can explain it; who can tell you why?

Of course, I'm really not the one who should be bothered by this, but it's weird to see a young actor, who knows what it's like to be out there hoping for opportunities, to offer opportunities without meaning them.

DR Charles Pogue, I was saddened to read about Tewkesbury.  My condolences to you and La Jolie Femme.

I'm in such a mood.  I need a mini-HHW gathering to snap out of it!  :)  :)  :)

So far, it looks like the attendees will be: Ginny, Richard, Larry, Jose, vixmom, vixter, Skip, me (and of course Toby and Dylan)

More TOD:  Jack Jones-- so many good ones--
"Wives and Lovers"
"Lollipops and Roses"
Yes even the theme from "The Love Boat"  (just because he was so perfect for that)

I believe on one of his later albums, he did a version of "With One More Look At You" that was dynamite.

Hmm...  Currently on "Paula's Party", Paula Deen is featuring "Deep-Fried NYC Foods".  So... coming up on this show: deep-fried bagels and deep-fried cannollis.  I'm actually a bit scared. Intrigued, but scared.

TOD:

Jack Jones:  difficult to say since I have five complete Jack Jones albums, or is it six?, in my ITunes...I do love the way he sings Michel Legrand, though.

Nat King Cole: Easy.  "Route 66."  And I've never caught up with his theme from Alfred Hitchcock's MARNIE, and I would like to.

Steve Lawrence:  Even easier.  "I Gotta Be Me."

This morning, our family all went to breakfast at a local restaurant (Budd Bay Cafe).  I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs.  It was all very good.  I'm still kind of tired from getting up much too early on a Saturday, but the upside was that I came to work early enough to make up the time that I needed to...well, most of it. :)

And now, I'm leaving work.  Until later!

And I still can't believe that I forgot my camera yesterday. I could have taken a picture of exactly where Doris peed.
