I'm heading down now to clean the dining room. That's one chore I didn't have time to squeeze in earlier this morning, so I'll do it now before I start working on lunch.

Monday morning greetings!  My friend's appearance on The Today Show was upstaged by coverage of Gustav, so she walked over to our corner and we had breakfast together at the Europa Cafe across the street.  We figured we'd last seen each other in the School of Music building at Michigan in 1974.  And our chat was as if 34 years had not elapsed.  When I email her the photo Richard took of the 2 of us, I'm also going to send her the link to this here site.

DR Ginny - I'm so glad you were able to catch up with your friend this morning.  And also I love it when you reconnect with someone after a period of time, and it's like no time has passed at all.

-And, actually, I have yet to turn the TV on this morning...

Riffing on Joan and Jennifer Darling:

John and Jane Darling - respectively brother and daughter to Wendy Darling in Peter Pan.

I suspect, since James Barrie was a proper Edwardian gentleman, that Jane's last name was her father's and not her mother's maiden name.

Bobby Jo, and the reason for a confidential clause at Papermill, I hear!

DR Jose, I mentioned your name to her and she said she'd heard of you!  She and I also discovered that we were both at the Barbara Cook concert at the Met in January of 2006.

Special thanks to you for spending so much time with us during our visit.  We thoroughly enjoyed the day at MoMA and our mini-tour of UWS sweet shops!

Forgive my ignorance, but has Nick been in the Broadway production?  Nice hands.
