Well... I decided to take advantage of the leftovers from last night's party, so I just lunched on some some sausage and pepppers.  YUM!

So is Gustav doing what was predicted or is it passing through without causing too much grief?

Gustav arrived where expected, sooner than predicted, and a bit weaker than predicted.

The New Orleans levees are holding, so far - but some are being topped and the maximum water surge has not yet arrived; other communitites in southern LA are still in jeopardy. Conditions certainly justify the advance evacuations.

I really don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but the list left out Jerome Dempsey, which I posted twice, and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss should be J.L.  Louis-Dreyfuss is her maiden and family name.

Actually there is water seeping through some of the levees and the new report is it's seeping under some.  They showed some footage on CNN of water going through the middle of one of the levee walls
