The worst meal I ever had was at Miceli's. I ordered some type of chicken manicotti. The first thing I noticed was that it had a layer of melted cheese over the whole thing that was about an inch thick. Now I like melted cheese just as much as the next guy, but when there's such a thick layer, it's really not appealing. The next thing I noticed was that the whole thing was swimming in melted butter. Now I like melted butter just as much as the next guy, but when your entree is swimming (maybe doing the backstroke?) in a pool if it, it's really not appealing. Then, I finally ventured to take a bit. It had absolutely no flavor at all! It was completely void of any seasoning, not even salt. And the last thing I discovered, the straw that really broke the gazelle's back, was that the chicken was DARK MEAT chicken! I couldn't believe it. And I'm really unfussy when it comes to food preparation. I can eat hospital food, airplane food (when there used to be airplane food), school cafeteria food, and actually enjoy it. So, if I tell you that an entree was bad, that means it was really really bad! I took about two bites and pushed it aside. The next time I went to Miceli's (it's hard to find something open very late), I ordered spaghetti and meat balls because it's hard to screw that up. It was fine.
