In my DVD player, a DVD that I just got from Netflix: Puccini's Tosca with Raina Kabaivanska, Placido Domingo and Sherrill Milnes. What's unique about this version is that it was filmed at the actual places where the opera is set and I think I had read that it was also filmed at the times of the day in which it takes place.

I did some research on Bears condition after I posted here. It doesn't look good.

One site I read said that 85% have the tumor regrow within 7 months. 2% don't live past 2 years after the first surgery and whatever treatment is given.

The tumor is so toxic that great care must be taken by the vet doing the surgery because it can cause whoever handles it problems by breathing what it puts out.

I'm upset but Bear is doing well right now. I also read up on the treatments. I don't think I would want to put him through them even if I could.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The first preview of All My Sons was last night and generated news, only because it was Mrs. Tom Cruise's first performance on a Broadway stage. Apparently she acquited herself well but it's amazing what makes news nowadays.

I think what's going on with the banks is that people who have other money to get them though can rely on the FDIC paying them back if a specific bank were to go under. But people whose only $$$ are at a bank that there's even a fear of the money being tied up at just can't afford to wait until the FDIC comes through. But consider the thought that if they're choosing your bank as the alternative, the perception must be that your bank is fine and healthy.
