If we want coins for the slots, we can go to McCain.  he says he intends to be the agent of change.

Perhaps I'll listen to the debate after all:

http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/debatebingo/azc_bingo.html

This is great!  Reminds me of the "graphic organizers" teachers are encouraged to use to help their students engage more actively when using learning media (videos, etc.)

TOD - I've never been enough of a risk-taker to be much of a gambler.  If I have nothing else to say, at least I can recommend a book:

Yes CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS did go over last night on CBS (on the east coast). The president interupted. I did manage to see it (although it is being rebroadcast on saturday night). But it really annoyed me.

For one, i don't know why i had chosen to record it on CBS since it was on a canadian station at the same time. but two, i guess they don't realize that many people record shows and would miss the last 15 minutes if they delay the show. It was just a fluke that i caught it in time.

It was a good episode.

Good morning!

It's a cool, overcast day here, and the highs aren't supposed to get out of the 60s. Never fear, in a few days, we're to be back into the 80s (but still have cool nights). Fine with me.

DR derBrucer,

You're right that DR Jane may live in an area with no over-the-air reception. I was merely alerting her to a POSSIBILITY that she might not have been aware of. No reason not to exercise all options IF they're available.

On TV Tonight:

More season premieres and new episodes:

ABC - UGLY BETTY, GREY'S ANATOMY (two hour premiere)
CBS - SURVIVOR in HD for the first time and a two hour show (I believe CSI tonight is a repeat)
NBC - MY NAME IS EARL (hour), THE OFFICE (hour), ER
CW  - SMALLVILLE, SUPERNATURAL

Today I must continue with more FRIDAY THE 13TH as I'm not even halfway through the set. Of course, once prime time TV starts, I'll be watching much of it "live" since there is so much the DVR will have to be recording. I will be able to start about 15 minutes later and watch UGLY BETTY by scanning through commercials. Once GREY'S begins, I'll be back "live" on the network watching the show in HD over the air.

All of the designers on Pwoject Wunway looked funny last night.....and I agree that Jerrell probably should have won.  It's remarkable what hair and makeup and an outfit can do to completely transform someone.....

Finally got rid of someone on Top Design who should have been gone the first week - but the team member who survived last week should also have been gone weeks ago......

I for one am feeling antispicient today.

I remember watching one episode of FRIDAY THE 13TH and being very disappointed that it didn't have anything to do with the movies....and at one hour, it sure took a long time to tell its story.  I don't think I ever watched it again.

I just want to wish a Happy Birthday to my son, David, who is 39 today.

Now, for this year, he has something in common with Jack Benny.

It's going to be so cool today that I'll be wearing jeans for the first time since spring today instead of my usual shorts when I go out to lunch.

That's my major gripe with the series. Most of these episodes could have been far more gripping if they weren't so padded out to run an hour.

I had a gig last night, and got home to a rebroadcast of Shrub's little talk to the nation.  I told Betsy that he understood approximately every seventeenth word he uttered.

That many, DR JMK?  You give him more credit than I do.

After the speech, I asked DH Richard if this crisis means it's a good thing or a bad thing for me to retire at the end of the year.  He said, "It just is."
