Suppose you were reading a mystery novel, let's say it's WRITER'S BLOCK, and someone other than the author randomly removed up to 40 % of the novel. . .would you still want to read that novel?
That's how I feel about widescreen and full frame, for the latter, someone has removed about 40% of the picture . . .

Would you consider this as a true reproduction of Da Vinci's THE LAST SUPPER?

I recommend these films for their craft. The writing, direction, acting, cinematography, score, editing and scenic design all come together as an organic whole in these two pictures far more successfully than in most any other film I've seen.

Danise you need to be more verbal and plan something yourself. Call a friend and say it is your birthday “let’s do something”. Maybe your friends will be busy but it’s worth a try. I have even treated a friend to lunch just so we could go out together (she couldn’t afford to pay). I make sure I have plans if I want to do something.

I'm very sorry, Jane, but I would never do that. If I'm remembered then I'm remembered but if I'm not, so be it.

I promised I would never drag things from one board to the other but I have to say that last night I saw something on another board that had my jaw hitting the floor. I don't consider myself a prude but one poster told another poster to do something that I can't even repeat--at least not in public.

I almost contacted the board administrator and told myself, “No, it’s not my place to say anything” Then I almost contacted him again--even typed up a long PM and my hand hovered over the send button but I told myself, “It’s not your place.”

I noticed it was gone this evening. I just had to go back and check but I’m still in a state of shock that someone could have said something like that.

I’m so glad we don’t talk to one another like that.

Big news of the day.

I'm so scared and happy and excited all at the same time. I might be getting a new (to me) vehicle. A 1991 Ford Explorer.

There was an ad in our work bulletin for one at an unbelievable low price. I went to look at it today and it is a nice royal blue color. I’ve already decided that if I get her, she shall be named Bonnie Blue and yes, I do name all of my vehicles. I’m driving the “A” team van now.

The battery was dead on her today but the lady said her son was going to put a new one in tonight so I can test drive her tomorrow. I just can’t wait!

S. Woody, how can you possibly know if you'll get enjoyment or not - in order to get enjoyment or not you'd actually have to watch the Godfather movies, which I, too, recommend. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but these films transcend the gangster genre. They're wondefully written, directed and acted, with brilliant photography by Gordon Willis and wonderful scores by Nino Rota.
