Oh my!

The hours I spent there.... when I was ..... young! ('60s/'70s!)
Found the very first book written about Julie Andrews there, (by John Cottrell, 1967) and some nice stuff about Animation art and technique too, as well as "early" books about the Hollywood and Broadway musicals!

Those were the days!.... here comes that song again! (td!!)
Did not they use to have two Foyles locations not far from each other?

I loved spending hours on the top floor of Foyle's among their opera scores; they had a fantastic music selection.  I almost spent around 100 pounds on a Heugel et Cie. orchestra score for Saint-Saens SAMSON AND DALILA, chickened out, and about a year later, Dover Books reprinted it for about $20.00.  Such luck!

I also had a couple of nice emails from Brent Barrett in the past two days.  He leaves tomorrow for Germany, then Wales, then Germany, I think.

Now for the bad news.  I think I have a stalker.  Seriously.   I'm feeling spooked.

DRDanise, you are becoming very competent with your computer, which is more than I am.

DRMBarnum, photos of your car, please!  I want to see if your backseat is big enough to lay your hat and a few friends.

DR Elmore,   I can thank Dear Uncle for this.  I don't always have time to try the things people tell me but when I do.....

François de Paris, the sky is falling!  The sky is falling!  And it's raining cake!  :)

May I state for the record (Dear Reader Tomovoz, you may ignore the following for the next six months) that I really do not like (I shall abstain from using the "H" word, Dear Reader S. Woody White) how short the days are this time of year?  It's dark when I arise and it gets dark long before it "should" in the evening.  Am I the only one counting the days until Tuesday, after which the amount of daylight we see, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, begins to increase?

DRJay, pull out your score to THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE and sing "The Shortest Day of the Year."

As much as we all love cake, I preferred it when the Weather Girls sang about a different kind of rainfall.

DR Jay, I can't wait for Spring.  I get up in the dark and come home in the dark during the week.

Also if I sleep in on the weekends, it seems like I just turn around and the "day" is over.
