It appears it might have been the result of a failed suicide attempt...  :-\

And by a Dr,, no less. Couldn't he find a less intrusive way out - like pills? Being suicidcal is no excuse for rudeness!

I'm up, I'm up.  I awoke to 0 count them 0 orders - not sure how happy that makes me, since the bulk of orders comes in the first couple of days after I announce.  Oh, well.

Again, I really am hoping that there was no one else in the building at the time of the explosion.  At this time, "they" are saying that everyone is accounted for.  Yes, there were some people injured seriously as a result of the explosion, including some firemen, but no deaths have been reported.  Let's hope it stays that way.

Well, this explains why the building was included:

Quote
Involved in a messy divorce, Bartha wrote the e-mail to his wife, Cordula, indicating his wish to commit suicide, officials told FOX News.

As part of the adjudictation of that divorce, Bartha, 66, was being made to sell the building, sources said.

Hmmm...  An update on the building explosion/collapse in NYC this morning...  It appears it might have been the result of a failed suicide attempt...  :-\

When I first heard an NYC building had succumbed to a gas explosion, my first though was, "Did Larry Moore forget to turn off his gas?"

Perhaps more orders will come in when you are closer to  shipping.

I'm kind of stuck out on a limb right now because of various things I've ordered...and then learned they were "pre-orders", one of them actually pushing the ship date back an entire month from the original announcement (that long-ago-announced Bernstein box that promised to start shipping next week, not to mention the Varese Club CDs that I presume won't be delayed too much longer).

I love buying terrific entertainment items, but I'm committed to some major items that haven't been charged to my card yet.  I just about need a computer tracking system for the things I'm awaiting.

The Wells Fargo wagon has come and gone.

DECEIT made it cross-country in four days! (not too shabby)

Ron, the good news about preorders at Kritzerland, is that we've never not shipped at least two weeks prior to street date.

It would appear that we've had a successful bird birth on the patio.  Where mommy is I have no idea (maybe getting some food), but little baby bird is sitting there sweetly.

Ginny, a few days ago you asked about Waterside Plaza. I don't know if anyone answered your question.

It's a residential complex on the East Side at around 23rd Street (the automobile entrance) and the East River. It's a complex of buildings which extend up to 30th Street and it even has a Web site

These various work assignments you're doing and have upcoming, DR Jose, sound so interesting and must make you feel that your fantasy is continuing. LESTAT was just a doorway to an even bigger and brighter future. I'm so happy for you!

DECEIT did indeed come to my door today, and I will be watching it tonight first thing. I had a number of things to get off my DVR to make room for more things to be recorded tonight while I'm watching DECEIT and other TV.

First thing I got to this afternoon was last night's rerun of LAW & ORDER: CRKMINAL INTENT, a creepy episode concerning a method actor and his obsession with realism. I enjoyed seeing this again.

Next up was last night's season premiere of RENO 911! Not bad as this low budget show goes, but I'd say about half of it worked and half of it didn't. The WEST SIDE STORY audition was my favorite thing in this week's episode.

ENTOURAGE had an OK episode that was more plot advancing than laugh inducing. Always fun to see what the guys are up to (Paul Haggis crowing about his Oscars - "my boys" as he called them - didn't make me real thrilled), but the laugh lines were few and far between this week.

...LAW & ORDER: CRKMINAL INTENT...
This looks like the Russian version.  I knew it was a franchise, but this is going further than I thought possible.

I didn't name Sheena--that was the one she came with but I think, "Sheena, Queen of the Jungle" fits her.  LOL!
